These are the same lawsuits reported 4 different times.

If this "hot fuel" contains less energy per gallon then would it not have a direct impact on the miles per gallon ratio that an automobile or truck gets? Most companies track MPG from their fleets, I would think that if what is claimed here is true,  it would show up in hard statistics from those reports.

I have yet to see concrete facts supporting this claim. Give me a spokesman from the Bureau of Weights and Measures for a state or someone with credentials that prove they know what is happening. "Joe" from some truckers association doesn't carry the kind of credentials that I find compelling.

Have rope, the articles you posted say the lawsuit is demanding that the companies install temperature correction devices.  No where in them does it say that the retail outlets intentionally heat the fuel to rip people off.

That's exactly the reason this is currently in court. The hard data will be presented during the hearings but has not yet been publicly released.
