My top three:

I know somebody mentioned it already, but Stephen King's IT was super scary. Especially that line "They all float down here". Still gives me shivers

The Ring when the woman is in the well with the little girl's body. Sad, too, but mostly scary.

And finally...Killer Clowns from Outerspace. Freaked me out sooo much when I was a kid. The clowns wrap up their human prey in cotton candy like spiders do with their webs. Then (*shudder*) they poke really long silly straws into the "cocoons" and suck out the insides.

In the Exorcist, when Regan (is that how they spelled her name?) comes down the stairs like an upside down spider. She just...skitters down the staircase. Bleurgh, I'm cringing just thinking about it.

Also any zombie movie. It doesn't matter how silly the effects are, how fast or slow they are, or why they ended up as zombies. Zombies are terrifying.

I don't know if anybody has seen this...but...to me the "scariest moment in a movie" is part of a movie called "Three men and a baby".

Yeah...I know it's not a scary one, but rather a quite silly sappy movie.

But there is a particularity in a scene, where the actors are in a room with long courtains hanging along the windows, and a very sick, paled looking kid appears from behind them, looks at the cameras, and disapears after looking. This kid was not part of the story, part of the cast, and looks like from another world.

I know it could be a marketing trick, a crazy effect, or a reflection mistake of some sort, but while I'm watching this scene, it's hard to be logical about it.

If anyone out there knows what the heck I'm talking about, what happend in that scene, what is it, or anything about it, please answer back. It´s been killing me since the first time I saw it and I can't avoid watching the re-runs everytime they pass it on tv!.

LOL, this scene has always freaked me out. i found out not to long ago that the (what appears to be) little boy is actually a cardboard stand-up of ted danson. It wasn't supposed to be in the scene and it gives off a look of a ghostly little boy.

This was dealt with on some tv show the other night. The kid you think you saw was actually a cardboard cutout of Tom selleck that someone forgot to remove before the scene was shot. Somehow it wasn't noticed until after the movie was released.

oh yes, tom selleck, not ted danson

I saw Final Destination 2 in the theater...I was the only person there at the time! It was a weird movie, much preferred the first although 2's deaths were more gruesome.
