In one of the stars
I shall be living
In one of them
I shall be laughing
And so it will be
as if all the stars
were laughing
when you look
at the sky tonight

Ven,

My thoughts are with you and yours. It never seems to make sense regardless of the knowledge that it's coming. Please remember to take care of yourself right now just as you are taking care of those around you. If it brings any comfort...

All Is Well
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household world that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Henry Scott Holland

Thank you so much everyone for the kind words, prayers and support on and off-list.

I spoke with my brother for about 2 hours on the phone today, it was his wife of 20+ years that died and he was her primary caretaker.  He was awake for 2-3 days at the end.
2 of her daughters and her mother were there too, assisting in caring for her.

Trying to compose the right words for the Memorial next week, it seems to help put my thoughts in order.

Peace and Light,

Vendaval
