I remember haven't the hardest time, visiting my first husbands mother (bless her soul), she treated me like I was family from day one and told me the first time I met her " Are you hungry sweety ?? Well let me show you were the fridge is, over there are the plates, cups and silverware, help yourself and make yourself at home"
In Germany, you get taught that your guest (including in-laws) are treated like royalty and are served hand to foot. I almost had a heart attack when my first mother in law said that to me. ~laughing~ gee I miss that woman, don't miss her son soo [&:]
