Hey there, i was curious as to know if anyone has any good websites or places to go to for catheters, i have searched ebay some and maybe i have not done proper research because what they offer is kind of all over the place with different items for different things. I am seeking an insertable inflatable catheter for a beginner of course, that can possibly be used for hours at a time. If anyone has any ideas please throw them my way as i am eager to hear. thank you all, -steven

Any medical supplies store should have sterile catheter packages/kits..
Do you know how to insert a catheter using sterile tecnique? That is more important than finding catheters, because the kidneys filter all of the bodie's blood, and if you inadvertently cause a serious Urinary tract infection it could be very harmful... So be safe, and have fun.. M

i have been into cath play for quite a while- have been mummified and cathed for up to 12 hours before. If you are going to be experimenting on your own, i would recommend starting with self-cath sets (easy to find on eBay). And this: http://www.ehendrick.org/healthy/003981.htm

Good luck.

Actually, I'm curious-

for all those who have experienced catheters/urethral sounds, does it hurt after play is over? If so, for how long?

I'm really curious how normally functioning urethras react to urethral play. When I was younger, I was really into that kind of sensation...

Then I got 4 UTI's, the last of which went away but didn't take the pain with it, and suffered with constant urethral pain with it. I went to lots of urologists, one of whom, after sticking a (wide) tube up my urthra with a camera at the end of it, determined I had no physical problems.

Now, the constant pain is almost entirely gone, but sex still hurts, (and after sex even more)...

So... do you have that same kind of pain after urthral play?

For men I would look at Texas Catheters or External Catheters for those that do not mind a little tape and latex on the outside of the penis. Think of it like a condom with tip that connects to line or small hose.

It is also essential to keep this clean and not on for long periods of time. Be careful about dependence on such a device as well. Remember the SSCC = Safe, Sane, Consensual and Clean…. ;)

I’m not a professional; seek medical advice from a health care professional for help.

Not quite the same effect kinkwise unless you're into ripping pubic hair, than it's fun, lol... Hey I just gave myself new CBT ideas ..
It Is Much safer than internal catheters though, so I agree with sf-Sub. M

The only pain i have ever experienced was from over-stretching. Avoid the temptation to take on too much too fast. There is a lot of soft skin down there, and altho it may not look it, it can tear. Use caution. And always play as cleanly as possible. i have been lucky to have not gotten any infections, but the Domme i played with had medical training, and was a stickler for as close to sterile conditions as She could get (and still have fun).

The longest i experienced any pain from stretching was maybe 20 hours, but usually less than two or three. Do also take it slow when removing a cath... not a place you want "rope burn".
