Seriously, politicians are fair game for criticism and satire but until their children grow up and enter the political arena themselves, they should be left out of it. This goes for Chelsea, the Bush twins, the Vice-President’s daughter or whoever – regardless of party. It is a matter of simple decency.

Of course, if they do something colossally stupid in public – then they only have themselves to blame when Leno and Letterman rips into them.

Hello Marc2b; You are absolutely correct; there are enough corrupt polititians for everyone of every party. The kids are another matter, as you say, unless they do something publicly outrageous, then the light shines on them; like the bush twins drunk and high on the weed being stopped for reckless driving and getting cited with a DUI.and....getting off.

Why not make up the lies about them? Accuse them of being whores to fat slant eye chinese, or dribbling arabs. Why not treat them, the same as this OP and others here have accused Chelsea of.

But Chelsea, quiet like a mouse, and this sleezie rat tail forum pops up, with the obvious agenda to bash the hell out of the Clintons using the kid as a scapegoat. The insulting accusations herein expressed, are apalling.

Evidently decency, simple and basic, has no place with the republican mindset.....as demonstrated herein. They all, must feel good in their heart and souls, that they have attacked an innocent; sort of that good feeling that smiling nazi (in a photo) pointing his rifle at the back of the head of a Jewish Woman holding her infant baby in her arms; just before he pulled the trigger. That sort of good fuzzy feeling, should warm the black cockles of their republican hearts.

This forum has proved itself......discusting.

My final word on the matter.

My Opinion: Looks like an ORDINARY HUMAN BEING.

Depending on the particulars of hair and clothes and lighting and setting? Could go from "Not Bad" to "Ewwww.. They shouldn't have published that photo!"

i freely admitted my affiliation, and it would seem i was the first to say let the child alone. while u start of coherently(most times) then go on the attack for seemingly no reason.

I've got to be honest with you.  I'm not certain how sarcastic - or not - you are being.  I'll just say this:  In terms of the nastiness each party and their supporters can stoop, I don't see a lick a difference between the Republicans and the Democrats.  You'll find two or three rare, shining, exceptions on each side but niether party truly has the nations best interests at heart - only their own.

Hello Marc2b, Well now, reading alot of your debates thoughout these forums, I don't blame you for being suspious of my comment. The truth is Marc....I'm not being sarcastic whatsoever. I am agreeing with you, ...there are enough corruption in both parties, of equal nature. Truely you can say, 'all politicians are created equal.'

As fair as one party having the best interests of the people, this country, at heart....no way; we have been sold like a piece of meat, to the higgest bidder, by politicans of both parties.

The republicans are more open about their agenda, especially now. They lack the imagination to veil their nazism. The Dems just veil it better, thinking no one will notice. It is the 'scorched earth' vs 'wet my peak' syndrome. Where 'wet my peak appears benovlent, it still requires the same obedience or destruction, only it comes with a friendly, " hey brother, I'm on your side."

Thanks for your reply, oh, BTW, the Chavez debate with you and thompson...interesting reads, and why you let him yank your chain, I dunno. Chaves is a dictator, rules by decree; true enough.....you hate dictators, so do I, but if he proves himself to better the lot of his subjects, to prove he is honest and actually providing really affordably education, health, and other necessities to live a good abundant productive quality of life; then okay. I would not want an Idi Amin, dictator, nor what we have here, with Bush, who underhandly errodes our consitution and freedoms; But, what are we offered with these two parties......the same face on different sides of the same coin.

Marc...when some people agree with you; some really mean it.

Hello uwinceismile; Thanks for your reply; first off, I don't assume anything; much less, that ALL republicans are here to Bash, or exist to Bash the Clintons. First off ....the OP began with an open attack of the Clintons, and Chelsea. I didn't begin any bashing of anyone, even however, I do not like what I see with the Bush family and regime. If you read, I ask, what did Chelse do to warrent this or any other attack. Popeye insults her because of her looks, berates her as an Elenore Roosevelt, who was rather an ugly woman, but she was of vast intellect, and honor and if looks were all to being acceptible, then POPEye would certainly be lacking as well as 99% of us.

And if Looks were a critera...how about JLO, or Janet Jackson, or, Britney, or Arnold, Tom Cruise, Jonnt Depp, Orlando Bloom, Kira Knightly, Dick Clark, Howie Mandel.........A statement like Popeye's looks comparison to E.Roosevelt is as trite and mundain an insult of the lowest from of character and intellect (assuming there was any).

The intent with this 'Where's Chelsea' forum was indeed here to bash the Clintons, belittle them through their daughter, and as well take joy in mocking her, and her ALLEDGED lifestyle, all unfounded.

I asked for a level field, and there was none. Now, combine this with Rush Limbaughs 24/7, on every media market thoughout the country, unrelenting for 8 solid years and beyond......why wouldn't ANY casual spectator surmize that the sole purpose of any political discussion  was to bash the Clintons.

No where in the history of these United States has any, ANY politician come under so venomous attack as has the Clintons; from accusations of insider trading, failure in governemtal decisions, to sexal indiscretions, both husband and wife, to altered photos, and all sorts of vile attacks, professionally and personal. No where in US history has this occurred, and...it is ALL, stems from...the republican party.

When I asked, in honor of fair play; why not talk about...the Bush Twins.....total silence; but the barbs against Chelsea were still there.

Granted you, said it was indecent, and it was, leave the kid alone, she's done NOT A THING. But still, no decency with the OP, that this forum was ill concieved; no offer to apologize to anyone for a mistaken concept, and so it continued. Good, that most here have seen and realized the folly of this contrived forum, and have displayed a decency towards the girl.

When something such as this, raises it's ugly head, and people jump in, to join the mockery, it speaks of the character of these people, and the label themselves as 'republicans'; like it was a good thing.

So...what would a....any....spectator, gather from this.

Remember: I did not vote for the Clinton

She is now 27 years old, a college graduate, working in NYC
in the financial sector and dating Marc Mevinsky.

Hi; Of course, throughout the history of the US; there has been all sorts of crtique's, lampooning cartoons, speeches made in ridiculing the opposing candidates. Of course, But NOTHING on the level, nor scale that has been done to the Clinton's. I challenge anyone to find one other president that has been subjected to the slanderous 24/7 every media market thoughout the US barage of propaganda that the Clinton's have been subjected to.

There was a publication, which hit the mainstream bookstores, and news stands; I forget the name, I think it was published and distributed 4 times a year. It had a title like.... The National Political Lampoon..or something like that. Not the National Lampoon magazine, this was altogether different. It was devoted entirely to the Clintons, every imaginable insult, that could be hurled, was hurled. Outrages lies, absolute lies, jokes cartoons, sheer fabrications. Now, the publishers justfied the LIES by saying these are jokes, lampoons.

Now, what and who were these publishers; they also with the masthead, gave their credentials, an explanation of who they were, their origins. They claimed to have been around since the Revolutionary war, or Civil war, I don't remember; but for at least 100 years. And have lampooned every president all the while they held office.

I never before saw this publication, never ever heard of it, no back issues, to my knowledge exist. But here they were, with Clinton, mainstream. Now, where are they with Bush; or where were they with Nixon, Reagan, Carter?

May be someone else has some of these publications, this magazine that has been around lampooning every president since Hamilton, or who ever.

I wasn’t so much suspicious as uncertain. The written word doesn’t always come across as clearly as the spoken word (due to lack of tone, facial expressions, etc.) so it is easy for people to sometimes misinterpret. If I am uncertain, I ask or otherwise let the person know.

I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. My best theory is that such obstinance just irks the hell out of me. As for Chavez, I would be delighted if he actually turned out to be one of the good ones, who leads his people to peace and prosperity (although he’ll never get there using such an idiotic economic system as socialism), but until I actually see it – I’ll remain skeptical. An honest evaluation of the history of the human race demands no less. I remain baffled that some folks think the solution to someone having to much power is to give that power to someone else

Hey Marc; I'm sure you will continue to do battle with Thompson, and others will lasso that chain around you neck as well. Yeah, without body language, you are second guessing at very best; and this internet forum thing has exhibited such...what; brainlessness.

Yeah, I would like to see Chavez be one of the good guys also, time will tell. If he is does real worthwhile good, and the common people do indeed prosper, the nation's economic base starts showing signs of upward mobility...then rest asured, the CIA, and the US will be there...to boost things along.
