New device gives women teeth where it matters

A rape victim once wished for teeth "where it mattered". Now a device has been designed to "bite" a rapist's penis. The patented device looks and is worn like a tampon, but it is hollow and attaches itself with tiny hooks to a man's penis during penetration.

Over the past three years I have been working on this device. It is now completely safe and ready to be manufactured and distributed," she said.

It had been designed with engineers, gynaecologists, psychologists and urologists. It was "hygienic - no human hands will be involved in the manufacture".

In the event of rape, the device folds itself around the rapist's penis, attaching to the skin with microscopic hooks. It is only when the rapist withdraws that he will realise the device is clamped around his penis. As it is impossible to remove the device from a penis without medical help, hospitals and clinics will be able to alert police when assistance is sought.

If the rapist tries to remove the device, it will only embed itself further.

In this day and age the rapist could probably turn around and sue for damages...[>:]

Hm....It says semen is contained, but I'd worry about blood....It seems likeyou might open yourself up for some nasty blood-borne pathogens.

still. Cool.

Well, cool for people who can wear tapon-like things, but that's still a lot of people.

ginger21 -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (6/9/2005 1:06:26 AM)

I don't know about this device... I've got a couple of questions about it.

What if a woman decided to wear it simply because she wanted to take revenge on her boyfriend? I prefer the 'ol super-glue-the-schlong-to-the-leg gag. That's a lot more fun. ^_^

How in the hell do you take it off?

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (6/9/2005 9:37:01 AM)

LOL I can see female dominants the world over getting their hands on these...

Why did the chastity belt go out of style? We all know the women really want it anyway!

"Help stop rape- consent more"

*humming*

Lepidoptera -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (6/9/2005 10:44:50 AM)

LOL this reminds my of "Snow Crash" by Neil Stevenson...

There are this devices that you put in your vagina, and when penetration occurs, a hypodermic needle injects the penis with a drug, and the offender passes out...

It was really funny, because this girl was wearing one and she was going to have consensual sex, except that she was so horny that she forgot to take it out. Ooops.

Damn, someone said it first.

Anywho, I can see someone forgetting it's in, or using it for revenge. THEN the lawsuits will come out. I wouldn't bet against the company who made it will get sued eventually because of the whole "blood" issue too. (Your device caused me to be exposed to HIV+ person's blood!)

sf-Sub -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (6/10/2005 2:01:06 AM)

On the security side of things this sounds very cool. Now it just needs Lo-Jack /GPS tracking and a dye pack that goes off when triggered.

On goofy side of things, wonder when I will see it at my local bdsm shop?

And finally, sadly what is this world coming too?

Note where this is being marketed - South Africa. I believe they have a form of English tort system where the losing party pays for 100% of the legal fees incurred. I doubt many rapists will sue under that system. But the "forgetting it's there" defense won't work either I'd bet.

I don't see this product EVER entering the US market. I sure that even after testing on lab rats (assuming PETA doesn't protest) it will not get FDA approval.

Unfortunately, the woman has already been penetrated and violated anyway. All this will do is piss off the rapist, and he might just kill her in a fit of rage.

Also Is a woman suppose to wear this device 24/7?
What would be the complications from that?
It's not like a woman knows when to prepare for rape[sm=rolleyes.gif].

It's for the paranoid.

BFT! The African prison system will see a massive influx with this little didi. As for an American market... would it give a sense of power over a powerless situation?

mnottertail -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (12/8/2005 6:07:00 PM)

Vicegrips; or their ilk, can be purchased or purloined at Wal-Mart.......

It is a global economy, you know.

Wolf1020 -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (12/8/2005 9:01:19 PM)

I saw designs for similar things from as far back as the 1800's. The nastiest one I found contained a harpoon which impaled the mans penis, and in some cases injected a drug to knock them out. Of course this is before they knew about blood diseases and stuff. Nowadays they are more or less bad ideas knowing about blood born diseases and the like.

Marquise -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (12/9/2005 10:00:46 AM)

Honestly, some of these nice BDSM chastity devices could be used to prevent rape nicely. Try to penetrate woman with chastity belt on. [;)]

Of course the lady does not have to say to the rapist that the key is in her purse. [:D]

Would be much more effective and much more comfortable than this.... well.... thing.

ToServeIsToLive -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (12/9/2005 3:15:02 PM)

So you're in a situation where you might be killed on the whim of your attacker and part of the game plan is to clamp some teeth into his penis... That just doesn't seem smart for a person who cares about their life.

MadameDahlia -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (12/10/2005 5:34:42 PM)

I remember reading about a similar device on these boards.

Later in the topic it was revealed by someone that the device didn't really exist. It was part of a campaign to raise awareness about rape in another country... Norway or Sweeden I believe.

Take a moment to consider what this device supposedly does... clamping down onto a rapist with microscopic hooks? That sounds fairly ridiculous to begin with.

But when you combine that with the HIV that's a fairly rampant disease in a lot of Africa this sort of device would be the last thing a woman would need. She's increased her chances of infection since her attacker now has open wounds along the length of his penis.

Anyone concerned about rape enough to take matters into their own hands ought to contemplate the effectiveness of a chastity belt - or a stun gun perhaps.

RosaB -> RE: Rape Prevention Device (12/10/2005 6:44:51 PM)

I was thinking along those lines as well. The guy could also threaten her before she even thinks about using the device. Rapist keep up on the news just like everyone else, most serial rapist stay one step ahead. Also, like someone else said, what if the person has a disease? Too many variables. If it were possible, I would rather have bullets that could shoot out of my fingers or knives that retract into my nails beds. I'm not too fond of anything staying up my vaginal area for long periods of time anyway, unless its a penis attached to a man of my choosing.
