Ive just read a profile, where your squicked, in response to something you read. In this case, it was a dominant seeking submissive's with accomodation free, for him, as he travelled the world. Im english, and a tad old fashioned perhaps, but where i come from, this image i have of this man is that of... Ponse. and now i want to kick him. Grrrr. is that a red flag to you guys? pandoravampire

What got me, that although he didnt call himself a pro dom, in essence, that what he was doing. Which is fine, just as long as you call a spade a spade. But he had hair that needed washing, a beard that had never been trimmed, just allowed to go fallow on his face! surely we should all take a little better care of ourselves, if we are offerring anything you value? pandoravampire

Gad, he sounds like my cousin Larry. Larry mooches free accomodations from relatives and acquaintances every time he takes a trip. Larry retired last year and travels all over. I usually arrange to take a trip of my own when Larry is in the area. <grin> Then again, I travel a lot. I'll often contact interesting sounding people in areas I'll be and offer conversation and coffee or a luncheon. Few actually realize that I'm actually asking for what I'm really expecting: "Interesting conversation." Stefan

I've had a few emails from dominants and submissives looking for a visit when they are in my area. I had never talked to them before and here they were talking a visit where they stay in my home. Would this be considered the vanilla one night stand? I can see traveling and meeting with other lifestyler's, but wouldn't you want to know the person a tad bit... unless of course you were just looking for a cheap place to stay? Pro Dom (?)... hummmm... I think I will refrain. lol In the vanilla life... long time ago... I knew a guy that traveled and stayed where ever for free. He was good looking. In exchange he would cook a meal for the night he stayed. I will never forget that white stew! lol But the guy had 23 children... all over the states. So I guess it is done... but I would tend to think it more a free loader who wants to play too...

What amazes me is that people who try this don't seem to have a decent plan - surely you'd clean yourself up and post a really hot Dommy picture? Or a picture of some other really hot Dom?

I don't know, mooching to me seems a bit much. I recently broke up with my ex-GF, and I think the primary reason was is that she expected me to pay for everything.... I don't like to mooch, but then again I don't like to be mooched off of either.... If I ask a woman on a date, I expect to pay the bill....at least the first date, eventually I don't expect to pay for every single meal for the rest of our relationship, or to cover all expenses.... I want to think that a woman wants me for me, and not for my money ( as little as I have).... I rent in an Apartment, and I am planning on relatively quickly if possible to buy a house, although if I had someone I was in a relationship with and she had a house, then I'd consider if there were no hiccups to eventually move in together.....and it makes no sense to have her give up her house to move into my apartment rather than me moving into her house..... I think if you are talking about traveling to someone that the accomodations should be stated ahead of time....you don't want someone traveling to you with expectations of staying with you in your home to only have them dashed.... the stated person sounds pretty tacky.......

I get the reverse. Because I live in Australia, which obviously seems like a nice holiday destination to some, I am frequently contacted by subs who are going to be "visiting." Round the world from Domme to Domme apparently. It probably puzzles them that I do not jump to accept their kind offer to stay with me at my expense, especially since most of them don't have a BDSM profile and have no photo posted. I know, I'm just a party pooper! :)) LH

I get that as well... "I travel to Florida quite often on business/I typically travel to Florida at least once or twice a year to get-away..." My typical reply would be: The last time I checked Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens & countless beaches were great vacation get-aways & points of interest for out of state visitors.... no where did I see MstrssPassion listed on the travel brochures.

I'm in Nashville, I get the same. Can you imagene how busy we'd be if we entertained every visitor to the city we live in? Sometimes, I wonder if they think they are the only ones who ever traveled through. I got even more of it when I lived in Vegas. As for where to live, a lot of times, the submissives assume I will offer to let them stay with me, if they impress me. They will hint at it. If I am inspired enough to actually meet someone, which is unsual now since I have the boys, they sure as hell arent going to find out where I live right off the bat! I wonder about people sometimes. Freeloading is one thing, but just the sheer safety factors that are being completely ignored allowing someone to be in your home who you do not know are mind boggling. How do you know this person isnt going to harm you while you sleep? Steal you blind and disappear while your still sleeping? Or worse steal your identity... you cant hide everything in your house with any persoal information on it. WAY too much access to me for someone I dont know. My 2 cents DV

I get a lot of the "I visit your area" emails, and I usually respond that DC's hospitality does not extend to meeting me, but please enjoy the museums and the monuments. But I also get quite a few "I'm in London! Visit me!" "I'm in Cairo! Visit me!" emails, and it's made me think of doing LaMistressa World Domination Tour tshirts, if nothing else.

God yall make me appreciate living in BFE here. [:D] Actually I live in a Military town and well........ no one really wants to visit this area...LOL Sort of makes me feel alittle better after reading all your responses so far. [sm=biggrin.gif][sm=biggrin.gif] Edited to add: That's not entirely true..... some do come thru here on their way to the Outter Banks...Altlantic Beach....Emerald Island... Or going south to Wilmington NC or Myrtle Beach...all well within driving distance...so BFE was too strong a words... Hell is more like it....that's why we call this area..Jacksonhell... instead of Jacksonville....LOL

I have had several "Dommes" that were ages 20 to 25 contact me wanting to come visit and play. At my expense of course. I find this interesting as i am listed as staight and 39. I assumed these are either men posing as Dommes or simply trolls grasping for anyone.

slaveish... You mean a beard isn't the place you are supposed to keep leftovers? When I lived in Orlando, I always got calls from distant relatives that were "going to be in town for a visit". I had a bungalo. Tranlated that is a house that is three rooms, bedrrom, kitchen/dining, and bathroom. Where was I going to put Cousin Charlie and his wife and five kids? When I lived in Chicago I had quite a few people I knew from online want to meet. But it wasn't really to meet me, it was get a glimpse at one of the local clubs. They knew I frequented them and they felt safe going with someone they "knew". I'd usually meet them for pie at a little coffee shop and then if I didn't think they'd embarass me too severly I'd give them directions to the club and meet them there. If I couldn't spare the time most were very polite about it. Now, the idea of hopping from couch to couch as a freeloader and contacting people you've never met or interacted with...that's just ballsy.
