when you don't eat your blood sugar can drop, that can cause nausea.

I know you didn't ask me riotgirl, so feel free to tell me where to go (lol) but destressing is different for everyone. Something that destresses me might stress you out so bad you would crack! Find something you enjoy doing and something that gives you a feeling of satisfaction and/or peace.
I have a friend who jumps out of planes to destress... I would be screaming and likely have a stroke, but hey it works for him!!

Yes you have.
Although we can't tell you what de-stress's you. Only you can. To de-stress you do something you enjoy. Like hiking for instance. If you're ever in So Cal let me know. I'll take you to the top of more than one set of Falls. Yes, I climb up the side. Stand under the cascading shower of water at the top to cool down.
Yoga works for some.
For me, it is reading the boards even though I have to muddle through crap now and then to get to the good stuff.
It is doing an intensive gym workout. Making some candles. Reading a textbook on something I want to learn more about.
The company of good friends and good conversation. It is even being told I'm hostile. It makes me laugh. I ask those of whom I'm close to how someone could have reached the opinion. Then we laugh when nobody knows.
Basically de-stressing is something that makes you happy to do it. Something that takes your mind off the daily issues at hand. Takes you into your own little sanctuary.

Thanks kitten and Gloria = ) i suppose i get little sleep as its when i destress? i tend to stay up ALL hours of the night (if allowed) as its the only time when things are quiet, no one is demanding any thing and neither is life. During those wee hours, is when it is when i can enter my own little world. Reading is good, as i can enter some one elses world. Going to clubs is good. there are quite a few things = ) thanks. though one of the easiest ways for me to hop into my own little world is the computer. = ) As the computer and the internet is one of the only places i feel safe to be myself. LOLOLOL Because heck if its very easy to block anything i dont like coming through. LOLOL Just like when i didnt like all that "she's only talking like this because she's bi polar" i just closed the web page down! BAM. To ME, the internet is one of the safest places in the world. Where i can finally sit back, relax, and not worry. Though i've a friend in England, that i havent seen in a couple of years, who just being around gave me such a sense of peace, it was unimaginable. Only because i know, he is one of THE most straight up, gonna tell you how it is people i have ever met.

i suppose you are speaking about that? Doing things that give you peace?

You seem to be having a lot of different stomach ailments lately, what with the pepsi thing and so forth. All seem related in one way or another to your diet and stress. Instead of asking questions here, why don't you start reading WebMD.com or speak to a health professional? Everyone gets naseous from time to time but you seem to have frequent boughts. I'm concerned about the quantity/quality of your foods and beverages. I would love to help you but I don't think I'm qualified or have enough info.

There is always the possiblity of Pregnancy ;o) joking aside, I get terrible nausea if Im anxious about something and i get shakey also, so always find I usually have to force down some dry toast with a bit of jam on (for the sugar levels) and plenty of water. Scratchy throat lol but works.

Incidentally I had an email (which I wish Id kept now) but that was incredibly informative RE Pepsi and Coke Cola drinks and what affects it can have on your body .. I dont touch them now and nor do my kids, I would suggest maybe finding an alternative soft drink or fizzy flavoured water ... all those additives (or chemicals) they add are no way good for the body.

Just a thought anyway hope your feeling better :o)

I have an article about the benefits of water and perils of coke, i'll try to find it and post here. It was posted on my South Beach board.

Found it
WATER VS. COKE

Water

1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
(Likely applies to half world population)

2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?
_________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________
Coke

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.

9. It will also clean road haze from your windshield._____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________
For Your Info:

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?

Basically if you eat beef you should drink copious amounts of coke?
Since beef stays in your body for well over a 2 day period.

I get this, but for other reasons. I fought (and am still fighting) an eating disorder since the age of 15. I trained my body that being hungry was bad. Eventually my body started thinking hungry = sick
This is something that I still struggle with. For me, being hungry feels like the stomach flu. Generally I have to eat before I get hungry or else I can't.

nausea: inclination to vomit; usually preceeding emesis.

nauseous: to be nauseated.

the stomach produces acid: always has, always will. acid aids in digesting food (which has been consumed!) if y' don't eat, acid is produced by and remains in the stomach and small bowel... and can (and oftentimes does!!!) refluxes upwards into the esophagus. acid in the esophagus will irritate the esophagus. too much acid in the stomach can cause nausea.

eating right might help. certain pharmaceutical products might help.

truth is, there are a whole lot o' conditions and situations that result in nausea.

assume nothing. y' might think about consulting a professional.
