It possible you may have lost sensation in the area if there is necrotic (dead) tissue. Best advice: Go to the drugstore. Buy a bottle of STERILE water, betadine, triple antibiotric ointment, sterile pads, and rolled gauze. Pour the sterile water over the wound, rinse with the betadine, put the TAO on a sterile pad (handle by the cornors to avoid getting "gunk" on the area that will be over the wound, a good way to get the TAO on it is squeeze a gob into the middle of the sterile pad, do not let the end of the tube touch it, pick the pad up by the sides and fold it togethr to "smear " it around, place the opne pad on the wound.) Then wrap the rolled gauze over it, and tape it. Next, go to a doctor/urgent care. (Decide first how you're going to explain getting it). In addition to proper wound care, a nice antibiotic may help. Ther eisn't a whole lot of tissue on the forearm before you hit bone. If an infection gets into the bone (osteomyleitis), well, it's just ugly. Go see a doc. And to keep the area dry when showering ( OK, nobody laugh, hospitals use this ), either put on a rubber glove and tape it shut snugly around the top , or if the qwound is farther up the arm, put a plastic sack over it and tape it closed.
