Well, for one, you're cleaning them way too much. Once a day is good unless your somehow getting them unusually dirty. Two or three times a day is only irritating them and will probably make them more prone to infection and the healing time longer.

I cleaned mine twice a day, and it healed in about 5 weeks. It's different for everyone.

To the OP:

When I got mine done, almost right after he put the ring it, I didn't feel it. The only time I felt it was when I was cleaning it, other than that, it didn't even fell like I had a ring in my nipple. Mind you, mine weren't double piercings.

The best advice I can tell you, is trust the piercer. I'm sure he knows what he's talking about.

nipples actually can take anywhere from 6-12 months if not longer to heal. This is especially true for women because of the large gland behind the nipples and the blood flow being different than that for men. I have my nipples pierced they have been for almost a year and a half and I still have issues with keeping them clean and some healing going on. Everybody heals differently but the shortened healing time emntioned in your original post is generally for men not women. I suggest a sports bra to keep your nipples tight to your body and as parallel to your body as possible. Also look up satin moisturizing antimicrobial soap from your local piercer. It's the best cleaning product for piercings on the market.

I got mine done in January and I am damn ready for the crusties to stop. Other than that they are loads of enjoyment. Can't wait to put in the matching set of pink titanium that's coming...my VCH and nipple rings will be custom cool! I'll even have a piece left over for if I decide to do my belly too.

those crusties are gonna happen all your life from my own experience and the experience of both mena dn women I know who have their nipples pierced. just keep them clean.

I cleaned twice a day with salt water and they healed great as did all my piercings. Mine never got very crusty though so maybe i got lucky.After about 6 months they were healed enough to start changing rings.

Please don't fiddle with your piercings, esp not with unsanitized hands when they're this freshly pierced.

Everyone's breasts and bodies are different, so healing times can really vary. Some say 3-4 months. Others 6 for womens' nipples. You've received double piercings (I presume you mean one bar stacked behind another) and that's an advanced piercing -- more healing time and more things can go wrong with them. I had mine for 2 years and they never really healed well, and I know many other women whose nipples just didn't take to being pierced.

Other sage words of advice, other than LITHA (leave it the hell alone!):
1) Keep your hands clean.
2) Warm salt soaks help.
3) Soaps like Provon, Satin are good, but be careful using an antimicrobial for a long amount of time. Eventually, you want to convert to a non-antibacterial. Dr Bronner's soap is wonderful. Be sure to get all of the soap out of the piercing, otherwise, that becomes an irritant!
4) Resist the urge to use antibiotic ointment, peroxide or other first aid agents on the healing piercings. They heal tissue from the outside in, and that's bad on piercings!
5) Don't pick crusties. Loosen them with a warm compress first, then wash with soap and water.
6) The jewelry might be a culprit in resistant healing. Rings in women's nipples can pull on the healing wounds like a lever if they're rolled over in restrictive bras -- especially if you've got heavy breasts. Consult a piercist, and consider changing to barbells until the holes are healed, THEN transition back to rings.

I need to momentarily hijack the thread and comment on the urine question. Urine is sterile until it leaves your body. It is the waste your body filters from your blood and should NEVER be put on any open sore, wound or piercing.

Both of my nips are pierced I have had them for about 6-7 years now. I still on occasion get crusties, Like any other piercing they need cleaning regularily and care. I have issues with gold and silver so opted for niobium and have had no problems, I also have a very kewl set of shields however something to think about when buying shields is the size of your nipple. I guess mine is larger than average as I had some difficulty getting the shield to sit right to get the bar through. As well it is silver and after a few hours of wear I could feel my nipples reacting so I changed them back. I have rings and had no migrating and healed quickly.
