Yeah Mz Mia! Sorry to hear about the health issues. Hope you feel better soon. A big thank you to everyone who has sent a note of congratulations in regard to the newest journal posting. I appreciate all of them. I've finally finished my coursework in Radiology. A 2 year course of study that was compressed into 9 months of accelerated program. I truly had no idea how challenging it would be when I took it on last October. After a pretty brutal 4 hour exam that I rocked with a 99; I finished with a 104 total for the whole. (I took on an extra project to provide some cushion in case I really screwed up on the final.) I finished with the highest grade not just within my class of 32 but also a secondary class of almost 30 as well. I retained a 4.0 or better GPA the entire 9 months. I was awarded the top internship and accepted it. I've been smiling so much lately my cheeks ache. Although the award that meant the most was the class getting together for a celebration dinner and voting me "Student that inspired them the most".They gave me the sweetest little gift for a day spa pampering and a certificate to make it official. Ok, Ok, I admit I got a little verklempt. But at 41, it was nice to be told I rocked by a bunch of great kids who were barely out of the womb when I graduated from HS. LOL I had calls this morning from 2 of them asking if I would consider doing a study group to prep for the boards I'm on a 12 day break and I think I've slept more in the last few days than I have in the combined previous 9 months. It's an odd feeling to have my schedule so open again. I'm at a bit of a loss at what to do with myself now that I'm not in classes and labs 6 hours a day, studying an equal amount of hours, running 2 different study groups for tutoring and working weekends on top of it. Aside from a couple of neglected projects around the house that need completing and getting back into the gym again I've decided to simply enjoy my much needed break. Although I had to chuckle when my brain woke up at 5:30 this morning as per usual. Instead of groaning and stumblingly blindly into the shower I was able to snuggle into the pillows a little deeper and go back to sleep until 9. Total and complete Bliss! A last minute suprise visit when the UM flies in tonight to celebrate his 23rd Bday on the 6th just adds to the joy. That number can't be right, it seems impossible, but it is. July 9th signals the beginning of internship. Just a few more months of clinical experience and procedurals before I can sit for the boards. 8 hour days and 1.5 hours of commute time each way should make for a rather interesting 4 months to come. I'll still be working weekends for the time being but the end is truly in sight. I'm looking forward to getting together with some awesome fellow Dominant Women from CM as well this month. Planning some dinners and great conversation since I'm commuting to the LA area daily. Can't wait...I feel like I've been quite the hermit since my coursework began last October. Looking forward even more to this coming October when the hunt for the elusive male wife will be able to begin again!

I want to know where the hell June went?!?! Aside from that I have been busy as hell. Next weekend one of my younger brothers is getting married and just had to have the whole family present. I am the oldest of 6, most of us have children, several divorces and remarriages, it is a big family that has scattered all over the country. That being said, the two of us that still live here and are not getting married have to find lodging for the other three and all their assorted spouses, kids and animals that just could not be left behind. Someone had to give in and agree to take our mother and her latest male friend in....it was NOT me that is for certain. And someone has to make plans on how to feed everyone....that is me. Between that, a recent additional land aquisition, and just the normal summer stuff.....it has been rather chaotic. Though the house is less than 10 years old, it was unfinished when we purchased it 6 years ago and has been a constant work in progress as has landscaping the 3 acre yard. In addition, some of the things that were finished were really ugly and just of substandard quality. Things that are easy to change like flooring, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, etc.....but take time and a small amount of $$. This month I put limestone tile in the main bedroom ( I hate wall to wall carpet ) and a combo of slate and limestone in the kitchen, entry and pantry. I also added a few new perrenial beds in the yard and enlarged three existing ones, this year. Our orchard has taken a big hit this year with the late winter ice storm, early warm spell then long deep freeze following, then a tornado skipped by last week and ripped out another two apple trees. We had to cut up and remove those on Saturday. I will be replacing more trees in the next week or so. I still have not found my dream vintage airstream trailer so no camping yet but then I haven't really had time either. The horses are getting fat and lazy since I have been busy with other projects. I decided not to accept any to train this year as I just would not have the time for them. Still trying to put the website together and still have a few patient people waiting for prints of my photos they really want to purchase. Fortunately I was able to save all my files from the computer crash. Valuable lesson learned, more frequent and multiple backups! That is all I can think of for the moment. More work to do.[:D]

LaT... My little suburb closes down the main street downtown and does a car show every friday night during the summer. I stopped by this weekend to check out a friend's Corvair collection. Right down the way was an Airstream that was restored in turquoise, black, and pink being towed by a Woody. It was absolutely adorable and I fell in love with it. They had a link on their business cards to the Vintage Airstream website. I'm sure you probably have it but your post reminded me of it enough to dig out the card and post the link. http://www.vintageairstream.com/ If nothing else it's wonderful for the before/after restoration photos. Edited because I forgot the infernal link. LOL

Getting ready for school again. I had to drop out last sememster but I found an online university that offers the BS degree that I would like. My pet and I continue to learn how to communicate better. The um's passed school. Psy

psyckocloud, you are welcome. I love to hear how everyone is doing in their everyday lives. Reality has a way of intruding and I enjoy hearing about the realities of day to day life![;)] Jo, congratulations again. I read your post as have been thinking about what a hard worker you are! I peeped at that airstream trailer and it is lovely. Sounds like you are a busy bee. Congratulations PsyVamp!!! Going to college is so much easier these days. Thank you MzMia, I will enjoy it for the most part. And no, my mother is not a barrel of fun, except for the horny guys that are into 64 y/o mental case hoebags.....tis sad but true. No one wanted her and her latest to stay with them wether we had the room or not. We all chipped in to get her a room at a cheap motel, just her style. She can call it a working vacation.
