Sorry ya'all, I have a sick butterhead at home with croup and an ear infection.  Not much fun, or much sleep for me.  Especially after one of the meds was the equivalent of baby meth.  Oh my!  I have reduced the amount of that one that I give her.  She should be feeling better in a day or so.  The chest xray they did was negative (thankfully!).  So, it is all good, and I should be back to my normal postings and musing soon.  

I hope that everyone else is doing well. 

Glad to hear that you are feeling happier Sunshine!  Hmmm. . . you are wanting me to send more males your way?  Is that it?  Or are you wanting me to write up a snarky comment for you to use.  I can and have, ya know.  Hee hee.

Carina. . . part of pain management is pain meds.  You do need to break the cycle of pain first.  Although, depending on where the pain is coming from, a parifen bath for your foot may help somewhat. 

Bounty, enjoy your horse rides.   And it is good to know that your foot/ankle is feeling better so that you are able to enjoy such.

Miss H ~  you enjoy dating those men or bois, which ever the case may be.  And my porch is always open to you!

Ok, folks... breakfast... i got bread, fresh from the oven and this nice hazelnut chocolate spread to go with it... Got it in Italy and it's so good, you'll think you died and went to heaven.  Some fresh oranges and eggs, anyway you like them.  And sausage, all those spices will make your mouth water....

I am going thur the same thing with my ankle girl.I would get a 2nd opinion first of all ,It may be so bad that they cans't fix it, PAIN MANGMEMT WOULD BE THE NEXT STEP...oxycontin80MGS 4 times a day and oxc 30 for braek thur any time I wish work really good smile...

Aylee sorry to hear about your Little one .. that is so hard to watch .. and know you cant wave a magic wand and fix it .....Im happy to hear she is gettign better

Carina .. as Aylee said you have to break the cycle before it can be managed .. take the meds stubborn ones .. just to break it for a while .. I dont take mine as often as they tell me too but I do take them to break cycle and for management and use alternative measures inbetween ..if you dont ever break the cycle you never get better

Sunshine ..that chocolate spread sounds to die for .. Im wondering if we could learn to make it ?  and never any eggs for me thank you !!

Christine ..... sounds like you need a new job .. start looking !! nothing more miserable than working at a place /job you hate .. that is the mark of a true masochist !!!!

Bounty good to see these Girls back in place .... ... settling in to watch them bustle around even if only for a few moments ...

ITS is doing so much better,some times the alternate way is the best...It is good to be able to walk without too much pain...I hope butterhead/PRINCESS gets well soon.....

Yes its good to see them all back and up to their old selfs....I was at my doctor yesterday and it seems like the flu and sinus infection is running ramped...The flu shot is only about 50% effect this year according to all reports....

Walgreens here is offering flu shots AGAIN .. it is crazy .. and seems the whole town is suffering with it AGAIN.... ... but the good news here it is warm ... but also means the wind and dirt storms are starting up .......so expect me to be crabby .... <sigh> nothing like having to dust 2x aday if you dont want to write your name on everything and to dust the sheets out before you get into bed at nite ... I swear Im gonna be out of here by this time next year if I have to put up a tent somewhere else

Found this one Ms H Might be worth  trying
4 ounces peeled toasted hazelnuts
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 ounces milk chocolate, chopped and melted

In a food processor, grind the hazelnuts into a paste. Add the oil, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla and continue processing. Add the melted chocolate and blend well. Strain the mixture through a fine strainer to remove any large grains of nuts. The mixture will be thin and a little warm. Pour into a jar to let cool and thicken slightly. Keeps 1 month, covered, at room temperature.

My friend that  I  kinda take care of said when she was in the hospital last the Heart Dr she had told her that they didnt get the right Flu strain combination this year dont know if they revamped it or not

The  med I am taking so  far is an anti inflamatory  which seems to  give my carprul the most relief ....  Oxy makes my  violuntly  ill as do a few others right now the pain is major in two places in back and heel the rest is just annoying. Maybe when I  get to  ortho they will be  better able to  help me the clinic i  go to  is low income  and  well  they just arent very  good

I highly suggest that you look into a parrifin bath then, for your hands and feet.  They are FANTASTIC!

I have a paraffin bath and if you are the only one useing it you can reuse the wax .. it is a life saver at times ......the other thing that works great is to make small cloth bags(rectangular work best as they can wrap around areas if needed) of beans or flax seeds or rocksalt (icecreamsalt) you can heat them in the microwave they retain heat a long time .. then they can be placed on the areas that hurt .. it really works better than you would think ....

IN addition to my pain meds I am taking 800mg motrin 3 times a day...It works well for inflamiation... Damm this is sounding like an ol; folks home.I told ya'll that getting old wasn't for sissys...sunshine that little treat sounds delicous...
