And i'm gonna share my lesson plan with you all... cause I'm really proud of it. I pulled down some flash cards from a website....http://bogglesworldesl.com/spring.htm in case anybody is wondering... It's all about spring - planting seeds and blooming flowers and what not (and there is even a sunshine in there *winks)... Well, I had my students put them in order and then we looked at all the words - seeds, roots, planting, blooming, budding, etc. It was a great lesson.. but here is where it gets deeper: I have a lesson plan on prejudice and discrimination that uses all those verbs as a metaphor for how hatred and fear are planted, rooted, grow, bloom. I'm teaching that on Monday. I'm very excited about having put these together. So Happy Spring everybody! Make sure to sow seeds of kindness and love. *puts red and white gingham table clothes on the tables and then little plants for centerpieces.
