the desert is really tough in the summer...maybe she is concerned you will dehydrate. i sent some time on a mining claim up in the northern part of cali in Siskiyou county. it was inhabitated by veterans of the Viet Nam War and bears....lovely and very remote. what about ruby mining in Tuscon?
