this girl's New Year started a little different. she woke up shortly after 7am when the power went out. Apparently someone who had a bit too much party couldn't navagate one of our downhill roads with sharp turns on the edge of the mountain. The utility pole snapped off about 2 feet off the ground and the pole split halfway up, too. Why they can't run into trees instead of utility poles is beyond me. There were about 2,000 customers without service and the outdoor temperature was 11 degrees.
The power was finally restored just before 9 tonight. Such a wasted day.
There's hot chocolate ready on the stove. The little bitty marshmallows are in the bag by the mugs. There's hot water for tea and some strong coffee, too. Fried apple pies are here, too.(Thanks, Diane)
AW thats just awful fluffy girl, especially all hot and sticky from the night before and needing a shower in a desperately way smile..The very day before the wind blew down a tree right in front of the house and don't you just know it had to cross our power lines, another two feet in another direction we would have been fine..I have been asking my neighbor if I could cut that old tree for fire wood for a while now and he said NO he want it around a while longer..So now the state has given me the wood blocking the road after the power company got things back to normal...Whats everyone doing this weekend, any thing exciting happing with you..,a wench coming by to spend the weekend but other then that its rest and recorpation..see ya later..
