this girl is cleaning the canned and dry food pantry today.
Does anyone want to help?
Before starting....WASH HANDS. 

  • Discard all expired or unuseable food.
  • Make list of any staples that are low.
  • Wash all shelves. 
  • Sweep and mop floor

Now, Wash Hands and use sanitizer....again.

Good morning everyone ... looks like I may be staying in Texas .. its not definate yet but I may move to el paso and help care for my mom instead of moving back to the north east .. at least for whatever time she has left . .maybe months maybe years you never know with elderly who have had strokes .. I will keep you posted ...

Good morning MissH.  Although the descision process was stressful, having made that decision frees you in a sense.  Maybe some of the folks you wanted to be near will come to you.

Here's a couple of kitchen hints....

1)  Use a mesh bag to hold small items in the dishwasher.  Put the items in the bag and spread out on the top rack and stick some of the holes in the bag over a couple of the prongs on the rack.  [These are the ones that are sold for washing delicate items in the clothes washer.] 

2) Keep your dish scrubber brush in the dishwasher silverware basket - brush end up.  When you run the dish washer it gets cleaned and degreased along with the dishes.  When you need to use it on the dishes just take it out and then replace it.  It no longer clutters up the sink area and is out of sight.  It gets a good washing, too. 

Remember to WASH YOU HANDS.

Afternoon snack stuff:
Veggie tray (carrots, celery sticks, jicama, green bell pepper strips, red bell pepper strips, green onions, grape tomatoes, broccoli) 
Dips:
      Ranch dip (made with fat free sour cream)
      Peanut Butter
      Pimento Cheese
 
Be sure to wash your hands first.

ill take some carrots and grape tomatoes and broccoli with some ranch dressing that i get from the kitchen and put in a small bowl.
