Since Bourty's never really closes, this girl will never finish the work each day.  But she can make it nice and clean for the night folks.

Dishes washed - check
Towels and tableclothes washed - check
Tables & chairs wiped down - check
Floor swept - check
Floor mopped - check
Restroom's cleaned - check
Fresh ROADTAR started - check

That's a lot of checks.  But not the kind to cash.  Sigh.

Whoohoooo Sunshine   a bubble bath sounds wonderful after today .... that you can practice lots on me .. .lol ... sounds like you are enjoying school ...... Im happy for you ....

Support and making dependent is such a fine line and varies from individual to individual .. Im curious to see how Bounty and others answer this one ......

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (3/4/2009 7:42:21 PM)

MissH - Welcome.  Would you like some hot tea and a cherry muffin?

i think in order for support to keep from turning into dependancy it would be necessary to do things in such a way that the person receiving the support has responsibilities to fulfill to get the support.  Those responsibilities would revolve around maintaining independence.  These could be going to school, working a volunteer job, going to the library to do research on job possibilities, doing job search every day, helping around the house (if living with the support giver), taking care of themselves and their things.

Training a horse, I can understand.  But of what use is a BROKEN horse?

harde-har-har

harde harde smile, well you can teach an ol' dog new tricks but give up on teaching an old cowboy,I actualy teach a horse but he needs to be broken to ride..That means on his back and hanging on lol...

I always wanted to learn how to break a horse.
When I was living in MT I learned a lot, but never was on a horse ranch, so no breaking

hello Asher, we break or train with love, the last two we did this way didn't have a buck in them but this little one has been spoiled rotten and running wild so it was back to the old ways so far so good..

Picks upo my pen and ponders on this topic,I believe in total support while getting one to stand by them self, you don't want to give too much how ever for making one dependent is just a close step to depencency..We as humans must always give our fellow man/woman a helping hand...you will find that Diane and I are suckers for the underdog...WE help when we can by putting our money where our hearts are and giving service and out time as well.I hope this doesn't confuse you'll lol..

Miss H!!!
Thanks for letting me know... Now of course I should tell you that today we learned how to give a bath... a WHOLE bath, and let's see... well I think that is all I can think of with you Miss H.  Later we will learn manicures and such.   But for NOW how bout a bath you pretty lady?  Bubbles, candles, the whole nine yards.

I'm actually quite good at it.  And I CAN be well behaved if I HAVE TO be.

Anyway, hope all is going well with you and the family.

Mr. Bounty, here's what's been on my mind lately.  What is the line between supporting someone and making them dependent.  I don't know that there is a SPECIFIC right or wrong answer, but it is what I've been thinking on.

Have a great day... and we got potato soup.  Master made it.  He's a GREAT cook.

night folks

Night girl, now throw in a pan of nice crispy cornbread to go with that soup and I"LL be there for dinner smile..

Okay, I have been thinking about this since I read this earlier.  The best answer that I can give you is:

When you "support someone" they say at the end, "I did this myself." or "Look what I have accomplished."

When someone is dependant they say at the end, "This is what  ________ did for me."

I hope that this makes some kind of sense.

Good Morning everybody!  this girl sings a little tune. la la la la.

Picking up after the night visitors.  Folding afghans.

Starts some more ROADTAR, boils water for tea, sets out the fruit bowl, makes a pyramid of bagels and puts out a sign directing peeps to the cream cheese in the fridge.
