MissH... i'm worried about some tests coming up. They were done a year ago and i have been waiting - hoping that nothing will have to be done until i get medicare next year. i don't have health insurance and i don't have the money for big medical things. (i posted to Health & Safety about it.) Enough about me...you're eating a little more than the other day. Are you feeling better?

Morning all,well its time to clean out the winter's accumulation of trash from the truck bed and give ol'blue a bath ,he needs at least one a year don't you know smile,WE are going bowling this afternoon, its been ages but I am still the master of the lanes,I"LL have a pot of rt to start the day MISS fluffy smile..She has a Crockpot of chili going from last night so supper is chili and cornbread along with Enought for everyone so cum join us for supper around 6pm...

[/quote] Morning people! I'm so glad Carrie has been stopping by. You know she's one of the gals that keeps me sane! I'm putting out a pot of Bengal Spice tea. It's my absolute favorite, and Mistress found it at the local grocery store this week. I squealed and jumped up and down... I love this tea and can't often find it. I've decided... It's time to go back to my old way of eating. I had to be weighed for my class and almost fell over when the number came up. Seems that I've gained a hundred pounds since high school! I realized that I was actually normal in high school (size 12) even though people always were telling me I was fat and ugly. Now it's true... My fat is ugly. And you know, with my thyroid condition I can barely lose weight as it is. I used to work out 3 hours a day and follow a weight watchers diet religiously. After six months, I should have lost at least 70 pounds, but I'd lost all of 10 pounds. sigh. Well if I can't be thin, I can at least be healthier than I am now. So, lots of great teas and no more sugar... *That one is going to be mega hard cause there is always ice cream in the house which is my big ole downfall... and now there is home made chocolate cake, fritos (another down fall), vanilla wafers, and chips. The hardest thing is that I'm not doing the cooking and the M's put a lot more fat and sugar in food than I've ever had... so last night I took my green beans out before they put the fat in, and I made hard boiled eggs for breakfast instead of my usual PB and J. I had tea and coffee today without sugar, and I'll get rid of the non dairy creamer next... back to plain ole tea with a drop of vanilla syrup in it. That'll get me through. I hear the Y lets people without jobs join very cheaply. So... who is gonna join me? / Help me?

sunshine...light of my life, (and more thanks for your call yesterday, you really got me out of a funky mood), i wish i could join with you and help because i need to do the same thing as you, i'm a little round at the moment too and need to get it off. maybe we could be online workout buddies? just trying to think of a way to support each other in a very common and difficult goal. smoochies girl.

You know, I was gonna edit that number... change the 70 to 50 ... but the truth is the truth... I worked out so hard, I ate so amazingly healthy, my doctor agreed with all I was doing, I took my thyroid pills... and still... ten pounds. It was very disheartening... Oh well, at least Christine can be my workout buddy! That's so worth it! So, a walk in the woods today? Two times around the path?

May I suggest you stop looking at your fat as ugly and look at it as something that protected you, for some reason, from what you couldn't handle...until NOW. Now you can let it go...it did what you needed it to do.
