I've been pondering something else

How many of your Dominants regularly cook?
Enjoy the joys of cooking, indoor or out?
Possibly are better cooks than you are?

I'd have to say, yes to the first two, and a toss up on the third. He has done most of the cooking for years, because I worked nights. But even on our days off, he still prefers to do the cooking, and leave the cleaning up to me. I'd say that we both cook equally well, but I don't enjoy it like he does. I can do the cooking using about 1/3 of the pots and utensils he does.....but then again, he does not have to clean them up afterwards, so that would probably explain it.

To answer my own question........
Sir cooks for himself every day.  He is not one to eat out because of the expense.
From my understanding, he is a good cook.  Other's who know, have told me.
He doesnt do vegy's tho.
He doesnt grill.

I have seen that show, TAKE HOME CHEF.  I'd love tobe the one found shopping by Curtis and prepare something fab for Sir?

Any of you??

Is it not a dominant "thing" to be a good cook?

One of my ex's was a great cook and loved doing it.  Sadly he adored the many pasta/cheese/sause Italian concoctions which I quickly grew tired of.

Otherwise, it's not been a forte on their part.

I cook, the boys dont. They are both students, and eat like students.  I love cooking as long as i have an audience.  I have angel over often for dinner, kitten is picky
Angel has tried to cook for me before, thougb it never works out well, I eat it anyway. Like  a kid making breakfast for mom, you eat the burnt toast and tell them its the best youve ever tasted.

Dominance is about authority, that's about it.

It's not about money, or work, or what you do, or service, or your name, or eye color, or voice, or clothes- it's who you ARE, it's the authority dynamic of your relationship.

Mistress or Her husband do the cooking.  They cook better than I do, so I certainly don't mind.  Better for all of us.

It rather depends on what we're cooking. My Dom is a wonderful cook (and it helps that I spent 4 years doing it professionally), so we tend to tag-team in the kitchen. We'll either split the cooking duties, or one of us will cook. Given that it's a pasttime and a hobby we both enjoy, it gives us something enjoyable to do together.

Advantage to melding two cooking styles is that sometimes you learn nifty things to add to your current techniques!

Master does a majaraty of the cooking. He like it, he also has a few food alergies so he likes to have the controll over it, though sometimes we will cook together. I like helping him in the kitchen.

I generally allow my subs to cook, or we eat out, or order in. It is more about my lack of skill in that area than a statement about Dominance.

Save for a few certain fields, I'm a more confident cook than Kitten is, and I'm rarely ever afraid to experiment with foods (we just recently finished the results of one of my experiments - food-coloring-dyed egg noodles with a bit of garlic seasoning and a dash of spices), even when the experiment doesn't turn out quite right. However, I've got the time for it right now, as I'm between jobs... back when I was working 40+ hours a week... well, things were interesting.

As for it being a dominant "thing" or not... I love to cook. I love tinkering and fotzing with pots and pans, I love to look at foods and figure new ways to play with them... and I'm the one doing clean-up after I'm done.

I cook sometimes and do not mind it at all as he cleans up after me. He loves to cook and grill, so he does quite a lot of it. When I cook depends upon my mood, if I am in the mood I do, if not he does. He is always in the mood to cook and eat.

What Robert doesn't mention is when I am in the kitchen cooking he is right behind me picking up the used dishes and getting them into the dishwasher so I have more room to do what it is I'm doing.  He also does things like chops, grates, and peels for me.

Robert is a big part of what makes a decent meal around here.

Master loves to cook indoors, not so much out. And the things he cooks are close to orgasmic. He likes for his guests to make a fuss over it too. ~grinning~ I think that might be a part of it.

Well i am a good cook at least in the kitchen, but put me in front a a bbq and all bets are off.  I don't live with Master but he has told me he can grill.  So we both cook.

I received my degree for Culinary Art & followed that career path for a number of years. I do the cooking at home.

My Master does the cooking most nights because I work late, but if I am off work sometimes I will cook, but he knows what things complement each other so he can cook a variety of meals, where as I cook mostly things I grew up with.

edited to add: He loves to cook, also he took a culinary arts class in High school which helps.

I like to cook and grill, but I will definitely be like Robert in the kitchen when Sir is cooking.  He WONT do vegy's ~~ *sigh

I also dont like cooking for one.  He cooks roasts, lasagne, meatloaf,  anything ~~ for one.

Life will be interesting in the coming months.

Master loves to cook, especially out on the grill.  I would say we are about equal in the cooking skills department, depending on the dish being prepared.  I think He thinks I'm a better cook but He's got skills too..........luci
