Still of the Night
The moonlight
leaves a silvery glow
on the edge of her
balcony.
She gazes
out into the
night sky at a million
sparkling lights.
Wondering
if her Master
is
thinking of her
as she is
thinking of Him.
A sultry Juliet
missing and longing
for her
Romeo.
The chill breeze
lifts her hair
and it falls
against her cheek
like a lovers kiss.
A lovely
star lit night
the perfect setting
for two
star-crossed lovers
on opposite ends
of the
street.
With a sigh,
she steps inside
after wishing
on the brightest
star,
and whispering
goodnight
to her Romeo.
