Status: offline 		I am considering having a subs lips pirced with 4 rings 2 on each lip. Has any one had this done? and what are the potential risks involved and can any one recoment somewhere around newcastle that would do it?

Status: offline 		We've had quite a few threads on labial piercings. I would suggest that a good place to start is to do a search on here and read some of those threads. There has been a lot of good information. I would also encourage you to talk with your local piercers. Picking one is about more than just finding one who will do it. It should be done by the one you feel comfortable with (knowledge, experience and hygiene practices should be considered).

as for locations...visit the piercing shops in your area, ask questions...the piercer's experience? what is the piercer's experience with that piercing? does s/he have a portfolio you can see? do they use all new needles or do they autoclave at the shop? if they have an autoclave and still use new needles, what do they autoclave? what are some of the other safety precautions that they take? how do they disinfect jewelry before putting it in? are you allowed to be with her (if you want to)?
all important questions, but i would say if you don't like the answer to the first 4 questions, move on...and trust your gut...if something doesn't "feel right" move on...some shops have different piercers on different days...others have the same piercer all the time but he only comes in on certain days...call around first...go visit the ones that give you some good answers...a new piercer is not a bad piercer, but i wouldn't trust them to do a genital piercing on me if they didn't have supervision...but don't be romanced by the first person you go to...theres always someone better at something...

Let's get some terminology correct first.

You don't wish to pierce her vagina.  That's the hole.

You seem to want to pierce her labia.  Whether you wish to pierce the inner or outer labia will really depend on her physically, both with the thickness and balance of her inner and outer flesh as well as her body physically.  Heavier women generally have more trouble with outer labia piercings because their thighs rub them too much to heal.  Women who don't have significant enough sized labia will also have difficulty carrying that much metal in their flesh.

Best bet would be for you both to go to http://www.bmezine.com/ and learn about the piercings you desire for her, read stories posted by people who have had good and bad experiences, search for reputable piercists in that area, and then GO in for a consultation.  Don't go expecting it to be done that day.  Talk to the body mod artist.  They will likely want to look at the subject you wish to have pierced and evaluate what piercings will work for their body.  If they are a reputable, ethical piercist, they will not pierce "only what you want" but what will be safe and what will heal in the recipient.

Most importantly, make sure that SHE is invested in getting the piercings.  She'll need to care for them, and it is an incredible amount of maintenance to have multiple new genital piercings.  No sex for a few weeks for you or for her.  Lots of cleaning and care on her part.

Status: offline 		I have had my inner lips pierced twice
So beware if you pull out a saety ball , it has to be put in right away.
The holes wil heal shut in a couple of days totaly and need to be redone
It is one of the quickest places to heal, mine were healed in about 4 or 5 days and was able to have sexual relationship with out any pain. That being said I did not have the safety balls on the first set and the one tore when it was accidently pulled out. Sea salt raw will heal and clean as good as anything and doesn't irritate. My first two times were done at the shop the last by a Master.

they are the best piercing site on the web in my opinion, lots of information to be had there.
as for my input ive not had my outer lips done but i have had my hood pierced, just as practice(friends a piercer, long story) and it didnt really hurt.

Status: offline 		I have a friend who has what Im thinking of as the same peircing you are talking about. She has two rings in each of the outer labia, her Sir uses them as almost a peirced chastity device in that he runs another ring through all 4 to hook them together. Isnt a permenant closing, in fact she could unhook them herself, just kinda the "idea" of being locked up down there....

I would definantly urge you both to do some research on both peircing in general, and on the shop where you are thinking of having it done (you are going to a lisenced practitioner right?). All peircings take quite a bit of maintenance and run the risk of unexpected outcomes.

Status: offline 		I have my outer labia pierced, one ring on each side. They didn't hurt all that much (now tongue piercings, THAT hurts!) and healed rather quickly.

I agree with going with your gut feeling on the piercer. Mine looked me right in the eye, was not pushy, nor impatient, even with a shop full of patrons waiting (he doesn't take appts, first come, first serve) and didn't belittle me with all my newbie questions. He showed me the sterilization for each package of instruments and needles, told me what he was doing as he was doing it....had me take a deep breath in then blow out and he would pierce as I blew out. He does them all that way and I love him.

I'd love to get more down there, but Master doesn't want to be without access during the healing period.

is vaginal sex all of a sudden the only kind of sex? i don't get why you can't have sex when you have a new genital piercing,..you just can't have vaginal sex...

i have a very good friend who has her inner labia pierced and locked with a mini master lock...it is not a chastity piercing but it does help her feel more secure...

I'm not sure where you're posting from, but here in the states, there are a very few amount of states that require licensing for body mod artists of any sort.  Even industry-wide, there is no accepted "licensing" process.

If you're from Newcastle in NSW, well a short trip to VIC would take you to The Piercing Urge in Melbourne, notably the best and most professional piercing in Australia.  Do a Google search.

Anyway, I have 2 rings on each side of my outer labia, 4 in total :).  Yes it hurt, anyone who says it doesnt is fibbing LOL.  It hurts a lot.  But the healing time is quick for most, it took mine about 2 weeks to heal, and about 2 months for complete healing.  It looks great.  Your piercer will let you know if you would be better with outer or inner piercings.  It would have been impossible for me to have inner done, so outer it was!!!

Professionals know the best.  And The Piercing Urge is terrific!!!
