I have just had  ful blood count and  my white blood cells levels are low , I did have a trans vagainal scan and and ultra scan last Wednesday

The doctor said he thinks I may had PID and infection in fallopain tube the right one , at this moment i am on 2 diferent types of antibotics , pain medications and a genral pick me up tonic

I am due to have a ct scan on pelvis and lower adomen ,Monday and then a full blood count test again in a week .

I was told I had it but had no tests to confirm it, I also didn't have any pain either. I don't have much else say but you can probably google it online and find info about it.

A CBC with differential that shows leukopenia (low white count) may also reveal a % of bands (new white cells responding to infection.)  In the absence of the patient being on a chemotherapy, radiation protocol, or a pharmacologic that causes neutropenia, the MD looks to the differential for more clues.  An increase in the percentage of bands, or what a physician might term, "a shift" or "bandemia" would point them towards an infectious etiology (often viral) rather than a bone marrow disorder like leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome, or an autoimmune disease such as lupus.

Did you have any other symptoms on presentation to the doctor like fever, abdominal pain, or swollen lymph nodes?  It's odd that they jumped right to PID if the leukopenia was the only presentation.

I have had pain on my left hand side near my ovary but only really bad at night and a  bruising like feeling threw out the day , I just felt kind of coming down with influence and fatigue ,

I just think oh its just peroid pain it shall stop however this month I nearly rang for an ambulance the pain was so intese

the doctor also feels it may be bowel related so he is ruling every thing out I had a urine test was al normal my alt levels of my liver were also evaluted

I have read about PID it is normally related to  chamdylia however I have only been with the one partner for the last 6 years , Now single and celibant for 12 months so I dont understand if it was a STD , why has it only just now presented

Thank you so kindly for replying has been a wondeful help

OK, so PID hasn't been formally diagnosed then?  The physician is still playing "disease of the week" with you.

I dunno.  One, if you had that much of a raging infection, you'd have not lasted a month.  It sounds more like an ovarian cyst, possibly ruptured?  But that would have shown on a pelvic/vag ultrasound.....

Thank you for clarifying.  It helps to present the "whole picture" when asking for advice!!!!!
