Speaking from the perspective of one of the folks who is on the receiving end of those thrashings (it is a delicious word, isn't it?), I can attest that I can acheive a much higher pain threshold, and endure a corporal session much longer, if the intensity is built up gradually, instead of starting immediately with the hard stuff. The warm up allows the erotic element of a session to take hold, sort of like getting a runner's high that allows you to push on through the painful parts that lie ahead. Interspersing the CP with teasing and other erotic play can likewise extend the "thrashees" tolerance. I don't know that the warm up requires any special technique, or even different implements, just less severe blows. I think a good rule of thumb might be that a warm up reddens, but does not mark. The harder, marking strokes, are built up to. Regards, ATP
