ORIGINAL: nephandi Hi First of all, i do not follow American media and had only the article in the link at the top of this post to go on when comenting on it and yes, like my Master said, prostitution is legal in Norway. Before you ridulule me, tell me, do you all have full undertanding of the laws of other nations. That being said, my coment was not about the unlawfullness of the situation, but about the contract itself. From that article, and remember i have not followed the case, only read the OP's link, it seamed the only real pice of evidence they had was that contract, a contract i do not find anything morally wrong whit, and if having such a contract was the only reason for his arrest, i would find that to be bloody unfair. However if he have run a whirehouse out of his home, sure, arrest him for that, but not for owning a pice of paper whit a consensial slavery contract that i yes, know is not binding. i think it might be wise to remember that this forum is open to the general public for other natrions, and that not all of us read American news, so if somone seam to not have all the fact it a case it is far more polite and show more manners to ask if the person have the whole story. i wish you well Before commenting on an article and/or link I would look to see where it had taken place. The original article did state: "A Florida man", "Florida cops", "Port Richey home", "Pasco County Sheriff's Office" and "Pasco County Sheriff's Office". We know that laws differ from country to country, and even state to state here in the United States. In most states here in the U.S., protitution IS illegal and a crime. The contract had nothing to do with why the pair were arrested, it did however serve as a beacon to attract negative attention from the media. quote:
ORIGINAL: Gheaust Oh come on. That last post so idiotic it can only be intended to incite replies. First, slavery is invalid in the United States, and no contract requiring it can be legally binding. Second, a civil contract will not make you immunce to criminal (or civil) prosecution under either state OR civil law. AKA: a slave contract will not prevent you from going to jail for prostitution or pandering. Thirdly, any moron stupid enough to flaunt activites in violation of the law deserves to go to jail, and in fact is doing the world ( and the BDSM world) a service. One fewer wannabe Dom preying on people is a good thing. Remember, your civil liberties end at your neighbors nose. 'nilla's - no matter how sexually oppressed, <grin> are entitled to enjoy their property in peace and quiet, as well. This means no commerical activities next door at all hours of the night, no being subjected to rampant exhibitionism, etc. By the way, The post was called idiotic, not the person. I wish you all well.
