I'm not an expert on the reproductive system, but I can tell you that the main danger from electrical play is stopping the heart.  It takes 500 mA (0.5 Amps) directly across the human heart to stop it, so as long as you stay below that, I think that your major risk is electrical burns from failing to make good contact.

Edit: stay clear of people with heart conditions and pace makers.

i would suggest reading the manufacturors instructions...what a concept....but that being said, i have a friend who likes having her tens unit being used on her clit...and the general rule is stay below the heart and stop if it feels wrong...
to go along with the whole thing on me being wired differently, a standard positioning for theraputic relief of lower back pain feels wrong to me and doesn't help at all...now perhaps if i was looking to become more tense and agitated it would serve a purpose but...umm no thanks

They are designed for therapeutic use and are quite safe. I've had it used on me heaps of times with no ill effects and have used it on subs, ditto.

When i asked a similar question I was told not to use it on both nips at the same time because it goes across the heart.  At the time i had already done that several times with not bad effect, but i quit doing that after the replies i got.

Electricity follows the path of least resistance.  The resistance of the human body is highly unpredictable, and while it is very, very unlikely that a current traveling from one nipple to the other would choose a path that takes it through the heart, it just isn't worth the risk.

If you want to stim both nipples, get a 2-channel stim.  That means 4 wires.  Attach a wire on each side of each nip, making sure that the channels are matched up, and you can create a sensation that is way better than the sensation of traveling between nipples, and you are also playing safely.

If you don't understand what I'm describing, message me, and I'll send you a pic or video.

A lot of TENS machines are already set up as 2 channel stims

The point here is whether or not you have any history of heart condition.  If you ain't gonna start defibbin' and the doc says ok, no biggie.

But we are on in years, and there are 23 year olds out here shoving five pound ice cube bags from the liquor store up their ass, and doin poppers besides------

I love My TENs unit.

It gets used on C&B's and clits.

Punk and I have both used it to relieve muscle tension on the back of Our shoulders
or on Our lower back.
The instructions with it say dont use near the heart so I dont.

I have had Physical Thrapy and its quite similiar, but not worth having someone die.
They may not even know they have a heart condtion so why risk it.
use it on the front of the chest or on nipples

Millions of tens units are used every day all over the body, one common use is upper back pain and using them across the heart is often the only way to releave the pain. They have no capability of producing the 100 milliamps (1/10 of an amp) usually considered potentially lethal.

Other high voltage, low amperage devices are also very pervertable and safe to use with common sense. Having said that it is always a good thing to explore new areas of bdsm with a mentor available and involved in your early scenes. Every local bdsm group we have ever seen has hands on electrical play guru's... get involved and use their expertise.

good luck

I wouldn't be too cavalier about that.  Electricity doesn't pass through bones or muscles very easily, and you have a lot of bone and muscle between your upper back and your heart.  Your heart is much more exposed from the front.

Still, as you say, a normal tens doesn't output enough amperage to stop the heart.
