Captured gaze held longingly by Your's, that deep iridescent glimmer of midnight hue
i pretend it is my light, guiding me along the pathway to the deepest, darkest parts of You
Your soul, which i admire, long to meld with, creating my own little space within Your heart
i dare not close my eyes for fear that the light will vanish and our connection would break
i stumble through the shadows, in the absence of space and time, clinging to need
so careful and meticulous my steps become as i descend upon the core of Your humanity
grasped delicately within my hands i linger with my fingertips tracing it like the finest crystal
my hold on reality shatters, there is nothing but this sweet blissful peace sweeping over me
i allow my eyes to close, my body to explode into tiny shards of energy scattering inside
each one weaving itself into the tiny webs of Your memory, desperately blending within
Your light vanishes, i become lost within Your darkness, consumed by Your soul
Fear grips my pounding heart, luring me deeper into Your trap, i hear Your wicked laughter
Like a caged animal i retreat, stumbling, crying as i try to shelter my wounded pride
But i am lost within You, i feel Your energy wrapping around me like a warm fire in winter
Sheltering, protecting, drying my misty eyes and clenching me tightly while i shiver
i am safe, secure, and i allow my eyes to open once more, Your gaze still holding mine
You smile....knowing that even my courage can crumble with Your will, and You own me.
