I wear a bracelet.  Not sure anyone in the "scene" would recognize it as anything but a beautiful piece of jewelry.  But it is meaningful to us.  And it is perfect for work, life, etc.

The question arose because i was serving at a party held by my former Mistress recently (with the consent of my current Owner but not in her presence) and attracted the interest of another Lady. When it came to light that i was already owned, the Lady suggested it might be advisable for me to carry some sort of mark of ownership to prevent any misunderstandings. We/we discussed it and liked the idea. Having something that will only mean anything to Us/us, therefore, would defeat the object.

Incidentally, i was only seeking suggestions for the type or means of signification; the final choice will, of course, be made by Madam.

It seems that in a case like that, if somebody who doesn't know your status is 'interested' and you know it, letting her know right away that you are owned is a good thing.

For that, you don't need a mark of ownership.

A lot of people have things that only mean something to them.  My collar for my primary Sir is an anklet that he made me.  My collar for my secondary Sir is a silver bracelet.  I wear both those collars at all times, yet even in a BDSM setting, nobody would know either of those were my collars.  There's nothing on either that says, "submissive" or "slave" or in anyway denotes I'm collared.

I think it's interesting that (from the way I read your explanation) the woman did not have the courtesy to ask you if you were in fact collared/owned already, and then decided to cover up her gaff by saying you should have something signifying your status.  (Of course, I may be reading more into your explanation than is there.)

Hi

i have not read all the replies. But here is an idea. On this site you can get a slave registration number http://www.slaveregister.com/ what about getting one and engraving that number on a men's silver bracelet or something like that, non would know what i really meant, and if somone asks you could say the number had a special significanse to you and your lover, you need not say more.

i wish you well

I usually see him every couple of weeks... and when we are together its like fresh electricity. He bites me on my lower back and hips... it drives me wild as he pins me down to stop me wriggling away.
By the time we are done I'm really turned on & also have his mark... a nice bruise that I find myself touching when we are apart.... then smiling[:)][:)]

One of my favorite ideas is probably taking a normal male necklace of bracelet (you know, the ones made of hemp, shells, leather etc) and hanging it with an emblem charm.

If you're kinky, you know what it means. If you're not, you just like the pretty jewlery.

When I was deployed we wanted to find something I would have on me all the time, but something that wasn't very obvious.  Liz and I settled on a heart shaped dog tag that I would attach to my key ring that said "Liz's Bitch" on it.  She ordered it up online and had it mailed to me.  Neither of us realized that the company would address it to "Liz's Bitch" c/o Troy......  I had an interesting time explaining the "joke" Liz was playing on me to the mail lady when I went to pickup my letter.

Basically, Madam wants me to have something that will show to people on the scene that i am owned but will not necessarily mean anything to Others/others.

Any suggestions please?

Have you considered a piercing ?  It could be concealed for vanilla and left exposed for lifestyle events and carry her name. The choice of jewelery for body piercings seems to be almost limitless these days, from the sublime to the  extreme.
It's my most favourite way to have her carry the mark.

Master gave me His silver figaro chain when He ccollared me, and plans on getting another matching one to wear  as a symbol of His commitment to me as well.

sengwahMTP -> RE: Marks of Ownership (7/24/2007 11:20:05 AM)

for Us when i became a house girl in my Masters home i recived a white gold neckless with a flower on it. that was what He uses as a house girls collar since the true seat of a collar is in the heart. this was just ment to show to outward Lifestylers who the girls were owned by. then when i had begged for my Masters intent and He accepted i recived a white gold ring with 7 diamonds on it. the diamonds symbolize each day of the week and diamonds for they were pure. then after i begged for His collar We picked out a ring that ment something to Both of Us. a white and gold ring with 3 diamonds and one saphirre. the 3 diamonds were ment for my children and myself. the saphirre that was in the middle stood for my Master. as how it was set it ment to Us that We had became one. We also picked up slave bells. they can be worn in pubilc and no one knows the difference. You really just have to look and talk about what some things mean to You. draw some designs down no matter how abstract they might just turn into something beautiful that You could have custom made.

I have to agree with Eris, piercings are a wonderful way to carry the mark of one's Dominant.  BTW...Erus....how are You??

Babybass -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/1/2007 4:22:53 AM)

I have a toe ring that i wear at all times - and i am getting a tattoo in the near future. I have a collar that i wear when i am alone with my Master but the toe ring works for everyday life!

tawney1 -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/1/2007 5:22:21 AM)

I have a victorian style heartshaped lock tattooed on my thigh and Master has the key tattooed on his arm.  He chose this because it is easily explainable to vanilla family, (he has the key to my heart type of thing).  Also I wear a turian type collar 24/7.  To anyone in the lifestyle they would recognize it as a collar, to most the world it is just a rather unique type of necklace.  You would not believe the number of people that have commented on how much they like my necklace. A bit harder though if they ask where I got it given the site, (company), name which clearly includes the word collars.

Jinger -> RE: Marks of Ownership (8/3/2007 4:09:14 PM)

I was given a ring to wear!
It's a nice ring and has its own box too.

Every time I put it on I do it to the tune of The Legends of Zelda for the NES.
That's an in-joke...I guess.
