Farg, you do have Occams razor incorrect.  He left a bunch of "anti-Gov" ranting and writing.  So it is simpilest to assume that was related to his motivation.  If he had left notebooks full of hatred towards  Child Molestors, what you were saying might make sense.  I do wish they would release them though, it would be intresting.

farglebargle -> RE: Another story that didn't fit the agenda (7/20/2007 3:06:09 PM)

Why do you CHOOSE to equate "ANTI-GOVERNMENT" == "ANTI-WAR" or "ANTI-BUSH"?

I think you're doing America a disservice by equating Bush, and his War with AMERICA or PATRIOTISM.

That's Bush's PR and Marketing campaign, and the naive consumer will believe the marketing and PR.

But it's not reality or truth.

“The great principle of habeas corpus and trial by jury...are the supreme protection invented by the British people for ordinary individuals against the state. The power of the executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him judgment by his peers for an indefinite period, is in the highest degree odious, and is the foundation of all totalitarian governments... It is only when extreme danger to the state can be pleaded that this power may be temporarily assumed by the executive, and even so its working must be interpreted with the utmost vigilance by a free parliament... Nothing can be more abhorrent to democracy. This is really the test of civilisation.”
-Winston Churchill, in a letter to the Home Secretary, 21 November 1943

Occams razor is only useful in simplistic sense, it would have never found relativity, never found an economic system or a government reponsive to its people.......well I could go on.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Another story that didn't fit the agenda (7/20/2007 4:17:58 PM)

Oh, that's easy...obviously he's talking about Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King.  Those fucking agitators!

Now, Lam---how many wikis did you have to search to find those left wing radical violently insane criminals?

I wonder if John Brown was as they pictured him? Bible thumping, wind blown, slobbering, bug eyed prick (no, never mind I answered my own question.) What an insurgent and mother of all fuckwad just didn't get democratic societies he was, well timothy mcveigh with hair, I am sure there is a website listing the similarities.

insert herman  goering quote here; again, for the umpteenth time.

"Why do you CHOOSE to equate "ANTI-GOVERNMENT" == "ANTI-WAR" or "ANTI-BUSH"? "

Please show me where I did Farg.....I guess you had no reply based on reason, so responded by attributing quotes to me that I never made.

You alleged that it was more likley that he was molested by a soldier, and claimed occams razor.  But there is no evidence at all of him being molested, there is evidence of him being "anti government" which actually covers a large range of different ideas.  So I think it is more likely that he was acting out in some sort of response to the Gov.  I do not think he was a Peace protestor, I think it is more likely that he thinks Bush is a traitorus felon and the entire US gov is illegal and un Constitutional, that the Supreme Court is illegitimate, that Al Queda is just a part of the CIA, and that The Neo cons are facists out to get him.

La Rouches' sister?  I've no idea.  McVeigh's sister?  Jennifer or Jessica or something like that.  I didn't know her personally, we wern't friends or anything - I just knew of her.  We were both students at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY.  We were part of the same group of smokers who froze our asses off  just outside the cafeteria doors after some class or other.  She didn't strike me as a complete nutter but I do remember an anti-semetic comment slipping from her now and then.  Also, I should add that I didn't even know she was Tim's sister (to me he was just one of many nut jobs I had in my cab - nut jobs are an occupational hazzard of taxi driving) until all that shit about him went down.

Oh cripes, here we go again. Ideological sensitivity rears its ugly head. What is he saying? That were bad people? No, it’s not true! It’s the other side! It’s them! They’re the bad people! Fucking same old, fucking same old!

I'm not about to waste my time doing research. I don't have to. I've seen it with my own eyes. I've seen plenty of examples of it in VARIOUS media. I'm not saying that every peace protest degenerates into mob violence nor that every person who calls themself a peace activist participates in mob violence. But some protests do degenerate, some so called peace activists are extremely violent. I know it. You know it. Everybody knows it.

If you and others want to pretend otherwise go right ahead. Keep building the barricades around your little fantasy world of good guys and bad guys. Don’t let anything that might contradict it in. Sleep well in comfort knowing that everything will be okay once the good guys triumph over the bad guys. Just try not to be too surprised when nothing changes.

Okay, that was pretty snide – but God Damn...

If you recall your high school latin, you will recast your memory back to the latin phenome that states clearly:

Thereus are thoseus of us with medusa oblongatas that are beyond comprehension.

I am not sure of the 'of us'.  but it would be far beyond my comprehension if I didn't remember if I tried to fuck someone or not. and at that point I would be very immersed in the body politick.

I'm just sayin'

That's as valid a HYPOTHESIS as you offer, isn't it? In fact, since the idea of violence is sorta antithetical for a "Peace Activist", even more likely?

You're assuming that "peace activists" are peaceful people.  Considering how often their protests degenerate into mob violence...

Mark2b:
Your post is a little unclear.
Do you mean that peace activist are peaceful and their demonstrations virtually never erupt into violence?
Or do you mean that those who do not want peace are violent against the peace activist?
Are you personally for or against peace?
Or are you just tossing out an unsubstantiated statement and hoping against hope that no one notices how fatuous it is?

Isn't that the entire crux of Malkin's false hypothesis?

Anyone who SUPPORTS her analogy must buy into that false hypothesis.

But she's a fucking idiot. Anyone who can't hire an editor competent enough to filter out the insanity of "Ideas have consequences", REALLY shouldn't be allowed out unsupervised.
