Anyone see it at The Franklin Institute?  Did you like it?  Worth going to see?

I saw the "Treasures of Tutankhamun" exhibit when it was in Chicago in 1976.  It was a smaller exhibit... just 55 artifacts as compared to the 130 being displayed in "Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs", but it was spectacular.  If you've a chance to go, I'd highly recommend it.

Edited to add:  It took 30 years for the exhibit to return to the US.  I understand this current one won't be here too much longer... you never know if you'll ever have another chance.

It's in Philly until September then it moves to London.  I have a free day coming up so I'm pretty sure that I'm going.

Yeah, Aileen, find out for me whether the embalming process preserved the penis.

if it's the same one that was in L.A., at LACMA, awhile back, I'd say skip it...most of the stuff was pretty pedestrian, they focused more on his wife than him.  nothing like the original exhibit, which is what I was expecting when I went.  I did bring the UMs and spent the extra $$$ for them to have the guided headphone tour, and they did get a lot out of it.

In my work life, I interviewed the archaeologist who organized the show, and I'm pretty sure he said Tut's penis is missing. Don't have my notes handy.

Only on this website would we be discussing Tut cock.
Lighthearted...I don't think it's the same.  I think this is only in Philly and then London.  I could be wrong.

Yeah, you can tell the Egyptian authorities to commence their search at Aileen's house.
