Who do you read/listen to/watch that is on the "other side" of you, politcally? Or do you find that an exercise in futility?
Left: Katha Pollit, Alexander Cockburn, Gore Vidal, John Kenneth Galbraith, Nat Hentoff
Libertarian: James Bovard, John Stossel
Right: David Horowitz, Christina Hoff Sommers, Thomas Sowell

George Will used to write columns that challenged my thinking and made me take a hard look at my positions but for the last 3 years or so his writing has lost that bite. Beyond that I rarely have read or heard anything out of the present generation of conservatives that was even remotely worth the time it took to read/hear.

I think Stossel is another one of these fakers. Several times I have heard him on 20/20 or radio and just thought he'd lost his marbles. The guy is an asshat.
With the story above I have a hard time believing in the sincerity of the piece and it makes me think its just a move to get people interested in him somehow - a bid for controversy - as in, there is no such thing in bad publicity as long as he becomes a household name.
