Some BDSM relationships flourish without the kind of romantic love one sees in ideal marriages or relationships, yes. Sometimes that's why the relationship works. Yes, there absolutely are different kinds of submissives and slaves. There are different kinds of bottoms, tops, dominants, mistresses, masters, etc. Yes, there are certainly submissives and dominants who engage in relationships without any intercourse or other genital stimulation.

Ours flourishes with plenty of love or our marriage wouldn't have lasted 39 yrs. There are others with no love, just a mutual need.
