i was wondering how to get started in pony play.  i have seen several sites on the subject and have developed an interest in it.  It looks like there would be a lot of conditioning and training.

There is.  you have to watch real horses - how they move, get your mind set on becoming one, etc.  Try this to start and go from there:

Thank you.  There is a lot of great information on that site.

One insight I gained from a conversation with a pony play enthusiast is that there are different draws to pony play. For some people, assuming an alternate persona and giving up the human identity temporarily creates a meditative effect.

We have a local sub who is active in the pony scene, which has led to fun community events as well as education about pony play. There is a magazine about human pony play and its editors are based in the Dallas area. They have pony weekend events for education and fun.  You might learn from other players about conditioning and other tips. For someone new to pony play, pulling a cart is always an option. Here is the link for the magazine.

Look up a guy named Trigger...he is THE pony to get a hold of. Currerntly he is living 24/7 as a pony on a ranch somewhere in the midwest but I'm sure you can find some useful stuff on his site or drop him an email from his site.

I'm sorry...but how do you live a 24/7 pony life yet have a website?  This perplexes me.

Yes, Trigger attended some of the local pony events and he is very active in the pony scene. His website is thehumanequine.com

His site explains that he's now 24/7 as of July 07, that he has no contact with computers or electronics, and that someone else is managing the site updates.
