I don't suppose you have a text link?  O'Reilly isn't someone I pay much attention to (I listened to Franken's radio show more often than his).  I put his opinions right down there with Alec Baldwin's.

Could someone with a faster connection let us know if Bill is talking smack about the bloggers, or actually calling for them to be censored?

Nothing on the link suggested censorship, Rich, it was bits and pieces of various FoxNews folks discussing the lefty blogs, like dailykos, and using some strong language in doing so. Then, at the end, the makers of the vid call for people to volunteer as "Fox Attackers".

AlterNet, of course, if a left-wing site itself. The talk about being for "fairness and equity", then immediately go into depth about the "radical right".

FoxNews and AlterNet are twin brothers of different mothers, in my opinion. You can find some value in either of them, but I pity anyone using either as an exclusive fountain of knowledge.

I'm just standing back and saying that those that can't take the heat should stay out of the kitchen. I'd say that Fox started it and now doesn't like the way the same strategies they use routinely against others may now be used against them in turn.

Did you come here to whine on their behalf, CuriousLord?

Hilarious!

You know, with the RNC idiots sending FIVE MILLION EMAILS to RNC.COM, using their blackberries, etc.. ( which they didn't own ), it's sorta like they just don't understand how any of this technology actually works.

I think the Youtube debate thing scared the shit out of them... Getting the League of Women voters out of the debate process allowed them to essentially control access. Youtube is about open access.

Open access, Transparency? To a Neocon Party Whore, that shit is Kryptonite.

AlterNet and the HuffingtonPost in the same morning.  Apparently he hasn't gotten around to looking up ethos yet...

C'mon, Sugar, there are good conversations to be had, you can do better to links to these hacks.

I'm gonna have to find me party first. Have any suggestions that aren't utterly blinkered?

Are you under some sort of impression that one must belong to a party to take part in partisan dirt throwing?

Alright then.  Allow me to spell it out for you.

Your post is about a partisan shitting contest between Fox and bloggers.  And whoever else happens to take interest in it and perpetuate it.  A partisan argument, mind you, that I doubt many of us are interested in joining.

I'm not going to get in a shit-throwing contest with you.  This sort of thing is pathetic.  I suppose others are already just going to leave it be.  I'm going to.  And you should, too.

Sites?  It's a mighty big internet.  Google is your friend.

Political party?  I'm slighly more pissed at the Dems than Repubs these last few years and don't see anything viable among the thirds.  I dunno, register "decline to state" and vote your conscience?

A little back ground and context.

This started w/ Oreilly going after the Daily Kos blog site.He managed to get "Jet Blue" airlines to withdraw their sponsorship of the Daily Kos yearly convention.Oreilly brags that he did this, and says the blog site is like the Nazis and the KKK sites, filled with hate speech. It`s an open forum, left-wing political blog ,where anyone can say anything.Thousands of posters, and opinions.Oreailly contends that they should scrub their blogs of so called "hate speech",and are responsible for the opinions of the bloggers .

So Oreailly opened himself up to this, and sounds extra pathetic as he whines about it happening to him.

Now,Oreilly has a  bog site too,(in which you need to pay,to blog). That site, is being investigated for what else? That`s right, hate speech, the illegal kind.A paying blocker wrote threats against Hillary Clinton, which the FBI is now investigating.

Oreilly contends the Daily Kos is hate speech, and should scrub it`s blogs(which is ridiculous),then turns around and allows hate speech on his own blog.He charges money for people to blog, and he still he can`t do, what he tells others they should  do.What a cry baby hypocrite.

Oreilly`s no victim, here. He`s sewed the wind, and will reap the whirl wind.

This is not just not one side shiting on the other. These events happen(ed) and people are going to mention and discuss them.If you think is all partisan BS and means little,I suggest you watch "Survivor" or a game show, and leave the news, current events and politics to other folks.

Peace
This thread splices nicely  w/ this other discussion
