Well, I've used the pic in another forum's sig line, but when I try it here it just puts the code in and not the pic. I'm using photobucket and it's worked on every other site so is it just here or am I doing something wrong.

This is what I put in and I don't get a pic so what's going on??

Thanks in advance and I wasn't sure where to put this so I thought this would be as good a place as any since there isn't a general questions forum.

Try adding the picture as an attachment off your computer. You do have it saved on your computer, right?

Oh please don't do that too! LOL

No seriously, I'm all for creative expression and originality. I guess I find that we have our avatar in the left bar and then when people add another pic in their signature... well it just takes longer for pages to load (and the collarchat.com server can get slow at times) and it breaks the flow of the reading.

Anyhow, I'm not going to rant about it because some people really like their pics. Just at the very least, make sure they are well compressed.

I'm not gonna make it my sig, but it was relative to a post on another thread. I wanted to post a pic of the necklace I'm giving my GF/pet when I meet her.

Ah - at the bottom of your reply window you get this bit that says:

Click here to upload! _ Embed picture in post

So first, upload your pic using Click here to upload! and then click in the checkbox next to _ Embed picture in post

Another way, which is how people do it in signatures, is to have the pic uploaded on a public server and link to it using the image function. It's button is located above the text window in the reply window and is on the first line of buttons, 4 button from the right. It will give you [image][/image] tags. Just put your image location within the tags.

Woo, it worked! I just had to do the [image] instead of [IMG]! Thanks to you all, and as you can see it is a small pic!

ok i read your post and applied the [image][/image] tag to my signature so if your theory is correct this will work and i'm giving you Kudos for the information on this little trick
