It's a wonderfull summer day here!
The sun is shinning the sky is a deep blue, it's warm but not "hot" and there's a great breeze here.
I opened the door to get the newspaper and the warm breeze reminded me of that Frank Sinatra song, "The Summer Wind."
Couldn't ask for a nicer day!
What type of a day is it where you are?

luckydog1 -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 10:15:55 AM)

Low 60's and looks like rain here.  Fall is definatly coming fast.

sappatoti -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 10:25:08 AM)

Dark, gray, with a steady falling rain and temps in the mid 80s F and high humidity.

With eyes closed it definitely feels like a Florida day, but opening the eyes reveals a typical Utica, NY day.

Kind of dreary...

It is 82 and a beautiful day here.  No smog....I just got a great deal on two pine tree's.  So, at some point I will be
figuring out where to plant them....basking in the afternoon sun.

slaveboyforyou -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 11:03:44 AM)

Hot and humid.  It's in the mid-90's, with almost 100% humidity.  The sky is clear, but it is hard to enjoy it being this hot.  It would be a great day to go swimming, but that'll have to wait until the weekend.

LaTigresse -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 11:33:03 AM)

It is cloudy and 90 with a heat index of 99, and climbing. Since the sun is not shining it is cooler than it was yesterday.

sophia37 -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 11:38:40 AM)

Its 91 degrees here in the Catskill Mountains in New York State. We havent had too many really hot days like today. But I dont mind summers here, because they are so short. So yay! its summer today!

michaelOfGeorgia -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 11:44:48 AM)

it's 90 degrees here...hot as hell and almost as boring...LOL

popeye1250 -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 11:51:07 AM)

Oh, I should probably add that I'm in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and not "New Hampshire" like it says on my profile thingy.
That's where I moved here from.
Off for a swim and to work on my tan!

August in Memphis?  LOL!  Think sauna, under a heatlamp, inside a sweatlodge, over a steamvent....[sm=cool.gif]

Yep...same here in Little Rock.  Yesterday, the bank sign said it was 100 degrees and today it said 99.  Nothing but scorching sun and no rain in sight.  I'm used to hot summers but this is just ridiculous.  The one thing I dislike about moving so far south is this horrible humidity.  Sauna is right, Alumbrado[&o]..........luci

Masque66 -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 12:15:15 PM)

Hot and humid.  This house has no AC and the dog is threatening to move out if I don't get it.

slaveish -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 12:32:56 PM)

It's in the 90's outside but about 75 in the house (yay a/c). The UM's are outside on their trampoline with a bucket of soapy water and the hose, spraying each other, the dogs, the cats, aiming for birds, screaming happily at the tops of their lungs, and all is right with the world.

sleazybutterfly -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 1:21:58 PM)

It's hot and nasty humid, with an ozone day thingy on the news.  It's almost 100 and I hate it.  It is pretty out, but hard to enjoy when you feel like a cooked egg the second you step out the door.

popeye1250 -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 1:28:09 PM)

Wow, the water in the pool is *perfect* we have a nice ocean breeze blowing in and low humidity.
One of the nicest of summer days and I made some egg salad with fresh celery that's cooling in the fridge.

cyprian -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 1:30:20 PM)

cool, 60's beautiful respite from the 90's & humidity where I come from

Haha, that's adorable. =)
It's in the low 80s here in NE Ohio, but really humid. My Ums are being total heat wussies, they're in the a/c with me watching TV, lol
Maybe we'll go up to the Lake this weekend

Are you guys up for some company? I can be there in three (and some change) hours. Sounds like you are having a perfect day, Popeye. ~smiling~ Enjoy.

MissIsis -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 1:41:48 PM)

It has been very hot, except that right now, it is 86 degrees in Aurora, Illinois.  After living for many years in the northwest, with little to know sun, and finally, having plenty of staff at my job, I have really been enjoying the summer weather here.  My porch is surrounded by some very nice shady trees.  Maybe I am staying cooler than most, but the weather here is close to perfect.

GhitaAmati -> RE: Where you are. (8/2/2007 1:48:08 PM)

Its been raining since yesterday, my back yard is flooded, the septic system is having trouble, its still in the high 80's and sticky and yucky. Flat out miserable...I thought Florida was supposed to be sunny? And if its got to rain it could at least cool off some!
