This ended up being longwinded, ... but answers everything i can remember wanting to ask and know, prior to my first fisting.
i'm quite petite (naturally, no diets no eating disorders, no illness... perfectly good health etc) at 5'3" and 95 pounds (my high weight, my highest, outside of during pregnancy, being 102) i've given birth twice. First born weighed 9 pounds, second weighed 8. First involved a standard 'routine' episiotomy. The second was sans the episotomy (for those who inquired, the debate is never ending and not proven as far as tearing and episiotomy vs healing time/ease of repair etc), and a vaginal breech ... no stitches, minimal tearing (very minor tear to the minor labia, required no stitches, way up near my clitoris ... no idea why, even my midwife was perplexed on that), no damage, etc.
For those who may be concerned with fisting while having an IUD in place (i WAS and couldn't find anything on the subject back then prior to my first fisting), i have one (the 10 year copperT). He's always aware of having to be careful to not hit the cervix with excessive force or apply excessive pressure. The definition of 'excessive' will vary from one person to the next. Find your own level of tolerance by applying common sense: If you have an IUD and it hurts, then it's probably wise to say that it's too hard, too deep, too much force, etc.
i've been fisted both ways. i've been fisted by the large hands of a Male as well as the more petite hands of a female. By either, the entire hand was involved, sometimes to the wrist, sometimes almost halfway to the elbow(dependant upon the position i am in). i've fisted other females, as well.
The first for me went as follows: i was extremely wet and very aroused and in a position similar to that assumed for 'doggy style', but with my shoulders and chest flat against the bed, face turned to one side (most of the time, except for when i pressed my face into the sheets to muffle my own groans, moans and shrieks). He inserted four fingers with His thumb tucked into His palm with a somewhat slow in and out motion. i felt a bit of burning and a whole lot of self induced panic. A turn of the wrist eventually allowed His hand to penetrate just beyond the last knuckles. A brief pause followed in order to apply extra lube. During that pause i was able to relax my breathing a little as well as the muscles of my pelvic region. At that point i felt His free hand gripping and pulling back on my shoulder for leverage, as His now well lubed and half inserted hand pressed two steps forward and then one step back while twisting to one side and then the other, His hand assumed closed into a fist while inside of me. At that point, He'd removed His free hand from my shoulder and pulled one of my wrists back to settle at the base of His inserted hand. With His fist entirely inside of me, His wrist was all that i felt there.
The second time that He fisted me did not require that He stretch me just as slowly to accept the width of His hand, as compared to that first fisting. The first time probably didn't, either ... and He was just being careful so as to be certain that i could handle it physically. The second fisting was done with less patience and happened faster. Although, more force was used during the second as compared to that first time.
He's fisted me many times since, with no issue. i've never bled, torn or suffered injury.
i usually am tender and sore to the touch for several days following a fisting by Him, but not at all when fisted by a more petite female hand.
There was one time recently when His attempt to fist me, failed. As much as He tried, and as much as i complied with His attempts and tried to assist in making it happen (my relaxing my pelvic muscles, tilting my pelvis upward and toward His hand) it just wouldn't fit past the last knuckles of His four fingers.
Even when i am extremely cooperative and willing, if i am not extremely turned on, and extremely wet, as well as extremely relaxed ... it just isn't going to happen. All of these factors need to be present, for me to be fisted by His hand.
i take a more petite female fisting, with relative ease, and minimal lube/arousal/relaxation/ ... aka: preparation.
Fisting is just another one of those things that is guaranteed to be a different experience from one person to the next.
Success is not gauranteed with a large frame vs. a small (pelvic circumfrance issues can be present for either).
Success can be affected by the difference in ability of the skin to stretch ... (skin can be more or less pliable from one person to the next).
Some women who have given births vaginally, have issues with being fisted.
Some women who have NOT given births vaginally, have been fisted.
The best advice for everyone:
Take it slowly (at least the first time).
Use lube. When you think you have enough lube .... apply MORE.
Gloves may help and removing any rings would be a good idea too (we never used them, His nails are kept VERY short though ... and He removes His wedding band-- because it could pinch , not because we are afraid that it will get lost up there ... figured i'd say it before someone suggests it [8D]).
Try different positions. --Where one won't work, another may. During sex or BDSM activities, i don't suggest to my Master how could do things, if i did, i'd suggest the following when He wants to fist me and things just aren't going as He'd wish them to: His elbow propped on the bed, so as to allow me to squat above His hand and ease myself into a successful fisting .... where i could then lie back and allow Him to do as He likes.
i love being fisted probably almost as much as He loves fisting me. --i'd say that i love it more, but He'd probably be quick to correct me. [;)]
