I was wondering what most ladies think looks better trimmed or shaved. Also I have pretty resilient skin, I can dry shave my face and not get razor burn but I have never my pubic area, well at least not all the way, I have shaved my balls before and didn't have a problem but there weren't many hairs there to begin with.

Trimming is best. If you're going to shave balls, tree, and all It's best to do it an hour before you encounter. By the next day you'll start getting prickly and it becomes uncomfortalbe for both of you.

So the idea isn't to be all bald but just short and trim as well as clean. If trimming is a little difficult for you then go ahead and shave all. Your pubic hair will grow back soft in about 4 to five days. So you're looking at shaving once every 2 to 3 weeks.

I remember my first job in a nurseing home. As I was passing ice one night an elderly patient steped out asking me to clean her dentures. Due to shakey hands, her nor her husband where unable to do it. So I take the teeth and what do I clean out them? The answer is hair. Old, white, and long pubic hair.

Lol, even the elderly are gettin it on :)
I'm thinking about maybe just shaving my balls and leave the rest. I wonder if that would look right?

Natural. ;) At least, around all the nice bits. Not so much extending up the tummy.

i read this in the book "A Loving Dominant".... it was advice for a woman shaving for the first time, so as not to get red bumps and etc.

after shaving, wash your pubic area off with betadine solution and rinse well, pat dry

shave the area once per day, using the betadine each time

after about 5 days, you should be able to shave and not have red bumps

the red bumps are caused by bacteria particles that remain on the skin even if you use regular soap. the betadine cleans the skin better and hopefully, will prevent them from happening.

i tried it, worked for me.

as for trimming or shaving? everything shaved all the way is my opinion...

betadine? I have had that stuff for surgeries, can stain the skin like hell sometimes, makes it look like a cheap spray on tan lol.
Basically I shaved just my balls because it was those scraggily looking hairs that I really didn't like. I left the rest just trimmed.
Now I woke up about 3 hours after shaving with stubble, Damn hair can grow fast. The stubble on my balls doesn't really hurt or anything but right where the skin from my balls meets regular pubic skin is where I am having a problem. Stubble is poking outward from my balls and its quite distracting. Hopefully since it's growing so fast it will get soft again in a day or two.

yeah, it'll prolly grow that fast.

I don't like shaved penis's I knew someone who shaved and I tried giving him a blow job and the stuble was just like sharp lil pricklies poken me. No matter how close or smooth you shave it grows FAST, and I don't like that lil porquipine quill look.

fast indeed! the porquipine-ness is going away and the hair is getting softer. lotion seems to help to.

OK how come no one has brought up the subject of waxing said areas? yes it can be painful, but also fun if accompanied in a scene. and the results last longer without the red bumps....

i don't know how it would be for a man, but as a woman, i wax areas that should not be sugared and sugar the rest. It isn't really all that painful if the skin is thoroughly dry to start with and lasts much longer than shaving. i like how it feels to me personally when it is done (though the process can be fun too :) ).

the red bumps are caused from bacteria sometimes, but mainly from hairs bending over on itself and becoming ingrown.

The betadine thing doesn't work, well for me it didn't.

I have tried magic shave as I was told that would work well for that problem, and it burned like hell.

Brazillian wax (it's a brand) is really, really fabulous. It is not super painful (not super comfortable, either) and doesn't require strips. As a woman I can do everywhere with them (warning though, it takes quite a bit of time) and it takes weeks for the hair to grow back- not to mention, I've found the more I do it, the less hair comes back.

For a man he can use it in the general pubic area, and maybe even on the genitals. I would not recommend it on the balls.

I'm a new shaver too.... and OMG!! @ the stubble! I'm trying all kinds of different things....

One thing I heard about but would be an investment is the Seiko ES 412 which is an electric/battery razor. http://www.allaboutshaving.com/ I've checked a few sites and the going price seems to be around $60.00... And, I'm sure they have a guarantee too if you wanted to try it.

With waxing, I know from having my brows waxed.... That once they rip the strips off, they go back and pluck what was missed! Does this same thing happen with a Brazilian wax? Youchhhh....

And as far as preferences... well groomed/trimmed or shaved works for me... If I had to pick, I'd go with bare...

When it comes to hair removal, WAX WAX WAX! However, Im sure it would be pretty difficult to wax your balls! I actually think shaving is far more uncomfortable and irritating than waxing. After any hair removal though, you need to wash with antibacterial soap and I like to apply a layer of neosporin to shaved areas. Oh yeah, and I dont think this would apply to guys, but ladies, if you wear tight panties and apply lotion regularly as the hair grows in, it seriously cuts down of itching!

I dunno if I agree with this....

Sir uses the clippers on me, and goes in really close. I prefer not to be bald, and the clippers has been a very nice compromise. Not only is it bump and burn free, it's a fairly intimate thing to be shaved by Him.

If you do razor shave to silky baldness (as I used to but hated) try a loofah or a 'bath lily' type sponge and really scrub as much of that freshly shaved area as you can. This has been said to help with the aformentioned problems (and for me it eliminated both).

Good luck,

Lily

i personally shave the frank and beans but leave the pubic area with just a simple trim. When done in the shower, no need for lotions, potions or snake oils, the soap does just fine for a lubricant. i find the lack of hair increases the sensitivity of the area and as a bonus there are fewer hairs to annoy a partner. i've never had rashes or much itching for that matter even when stubble starts to appear which is usually a few days after shaving. Since i shower at least once a day, that hasn't become much of an issue.

Ladies shave their legs every other day or there abouts so not a big issue to shave at least as regularly. Wax???? ouch, wouldn't do that on my own but might be a good Domme/sub game. i'm sure someone here already knows the answer.

I am very fair skinned and have sensitive skin so shaving always caused the little bumps and prickles you are talking about. I came across a shaving lotion < not creme> that has worked very well . < Don"t laugh, and it is not a joke> Coochie Creme. It leaves you silky soft and no stubbles or bumps. It is also great on your legs or underarms. I know the original poster was a male, and i am sure it would work just as well on a man as it does on me. I have reccomended this to friends and they have had good results, whether you shave bald or leave a lil stripe.. or just want rid of those pesky little hairs that seem to creep down your upper thigh. LOL.. at least on some of older girls.
