The toy you've linked to would not be a problem for me, but when I was an anal virgin, I certainly didn't start with something this long and thick.  Even now, warm-up and stretching (with smaller toys) is essential.  Appropriate warm-up makes the bigger challenges both possible and enjoyable.

Since the boys I've taken haven't shopped with competition they always seem to buy something close to their own size.  Perhaps I'll have to take them shopping in pairs one of these days.

i've taken that thick, but not that long and that thick at the same time. it says it's flexible, which seems to be a key thing for me. so, depending on how flexible it is, with some effort, and hour or so, i might be able to take the extra 2" or so in length longer then i've taken before..
