Ooooh hot!  Speaking of male version of "damsel in distress," my prayers have been answered!

Apparently no one in  NYC is paying attention, all those that say "when will you come to NY again?" I say "When my business dictates I need to be there". Well screw my real job, if I had known that play was going on, I would have been there in a heartbeat!! DAMN!

Hey, I'm going to be in New York in October. If I happen to come into possesion of two tickets, think you might want one?

I'm always saying "Oh, next time I go to the City, I'm going to see a show. This time I mean it. For reals," and it never happens. This time I don't care if I have to sell a kidney (not necessarily mine), I'm getting into Twist!

Well indeed you have found it girl! *L* Now you are going to have to visit New York to go see it.  I could imagine a future collaboration between you and the writers for a TWIST II.  Of course Oliver Twist is the perfect boy in distress.  You got to work your connections and see if you can meet some of the folks who developed it - I mean talk about kismet.

Ya know, there could be some threads in the Tales from the City series too that could be spun into something yummy and twisted, now that I think about it.  And here in Appalacha there are old country stories known as Jack Tales (really, I'm not making it up - jack and jill is a simple one, for example another is jack and the beanstalk - but those are the well known ones).  Some of the actual folktales are ripe for peverting.

Nothing like a sordid emulation to get someone interested in the original. I've never read Oliver Twist, but I think I'll have to if I want to fully appreciate this play.
