Status: offline 		OK. I am sure this topic has been dealt with loads of times, but I just need to get some additional pointers.

When I administer an enema to a my sub he can take a pint or there about's. We use plain water heated to room temperature or a little above. After he expels I administer another again only about a pint sometimes a little more. Generally speaking when he expels some feces come out also (very small ones). Finally a third is administered, this time he can only take a little less that a point. When he expels the water is relatively clear, but in the bowl it discolors not to a dark brown, and not to a light brown, but you can see part of the way through it. Even after trying up to six cycles, we have never seen a really clear result.

Should the water be clear as some threads suggest? Should he be able to take more also as some threads suggest (up to a gallon! surely this is not correct)?

We us enemas before anal play, and normally everything does be fine. So is other threads going way beyond the requirements?

What is the definitive answer! Is it to use some solution and what type?

Status: offline 		technically you don't have to use an enema at all.  Do what's comfy for you.  Be careful not to "push" things too far if you don't evacuate (large amounts of stool can be uncomfy with extra toys in there).  And try using a soapsuds enema to help with surfactants and viscosity for movement.

I've never seen expelled fluid clear enough to mistake for water. Other the Counter Mag Sulfate cleansers followed by two enemas are the best most can do unless you want him to get colonix.

If all you are doing is using anal toys and fingering, no cleansing is required. Enema treatments help toys from accidently starting a bowl movement and stinking up your scene. But no matter what, enema or no enema, I still clean my toys after any session.

Status: offline 		i take enemas regularly because my mistress fists me like 2 times a week usually ...i have my own 2 qt bag and i can take the whole thing ..i try to hold it at least for a couple of minutes and then release ..i do it 3 times because i want to be cleaned out for her to play with my ass ..i figure thats the least i can do   the third time im much cleaner when i release and the enema flows in much better ..she loves me clean inside and out and im happy to do it for her   have fun ..mal

How are you administering it? With a squeeze bulb? Hanging bag? If it's hanging, how high above him is it? What position is he in when it's being done?
If the water is coming out mostly clear, with no noticeable solids, then he should be ready for pretty much any kind of ass play you might indulge in other than eating a sandwich up there.
As far as enemas for "preparation" go, several smaller enemas are better than one large one. If you're pumping the better part of a gallon into him (yes, it's possible), it's getting higher up into his system. It'll go up past the areas you'll be reaching with anything other than a colon "snake", and, in my experience, may take a long time to come back out. Meaning that you both think he's empty, start moving on to other forms of ass play, and suddenly... Surprise!
But as you said... things should be fine with the results you're getting, and if they are, there's no real reason to go further.

However, if the goal is to have him take a large amount of water for the physical sensations from the enema itself, the cheap red rubber hot-water-bottle types are a good way to start. Fill it up with water that feels a little warm on your wrist, and add about a teaspoonfull of salt. Have him lie on the floor on his left side, insert the tube, and hang the bag about 5' off the ground. With the first one or two tries, let it go until he feels full, then have him expel it. Refill the bag, and repeat. This time, when he starts to feel full, have him move to a kneeling position, head down on the floor. Gently massage the lower-left side of his belly, moving from the groin up, to help the water break up any blockage and move further into his body.

An inflatable enema plug can help; they're generally less than $40 delivered from any of the larger online kink shops. This will help put more water into him, and will definitely help him hold it in, if that's what you're going for. Just make sure you're both paying attention to his body, and don't put water into him under pressure (squeezing the bag, hooking up to a faucet, etc).

I read it's tap water than can cause problems because of the chlorine in it, but bottled or filtered water should be fine.

Status: offline 		In the hospital we do "tapwater enemas" fairly often. Also saline, soap suds, fleet, etc. All seems to depend on the Doc's preference.

Thank you very much for that. There is no reason for him to be perfectly clear, but some threads seem to suggest this. After expulsion it is mainly break for a few hours then strap on and butt plug play.

I am using this as the apparatus. Generally he can only take about 1/2 to 2/3. I was told not to have the enema bag too high in the past, typically 1 and 1/2 foot to 2 foot so thats what I have been using. It is generally tap water I use, but it is from a good source. He does not hold it, as he reaches point where he can take no more, he move to the loo and expells. During administration he is normally in a kneeling position with head low to ground.

The purpose of the enema is mainly for strap on play and butt plug, and an occasional fisting.

I also have one of these and us it normally the following days after the enema. It gives sufficient results for play, but occasionally there is evidence that things are not that clean.

I simply want to find out what is the best approach. Noramally he goes through 3 cycles on the bag, at most 2/3 of it with no holding. The purpose is solely for play. It is only for cleaning. The process normally takes 1 hour to complete. The bag hangs about 1 1/2 foot above him with him kneeling face down on the floor.

What is the best method of administration.
