Status: offline 		Ok, i'm sure there have been 8 million threads about searching for the right collar...

and here's another!

i'm looking for something i can wear everyday, including at work (which is not a BDSM friendly place), thin, unobtrusive, still looks and feels like a collar, is easily removable (safety reasons), is reasonably priced and is vegan...

Can we see why i'm having a hard time? lol

Please, anyone, help, help, help!

Yes, i know, "the most important collar is the one inside" blah blah blah, nice sentiment, but not helpful advice.

If anyone's run across anything like this, please let me know.

Status: offline 		Round braid nylon with or wihout a cable core, a heart shaped lock can make the differnce if accidently exposed.
18 inches long with loop on each end.

I've made leather ones of this nature in the past but never had the request for a vegan version.

The Round Braided Leather Collar (101) can be done in Ultra Lacing (synthetic leather).. Add a heart lock as Archer mentioned above and it can be worn under a shirt or if seen it looks 'trendy'.

Status: offline 		A friend of mine has one that her Master had custom made to his design.  I believe it is white gold, although any metal would work.  It looks like a regular chain (think almost like a thin dog leash type of chain), with a heart shaped padlock as a locket/charm.  It is unusual, for vanilla jewelry, yet passable enough.  The padlock is functional, he holds the key, her collar is only removed for dressy fetish events, where she wears something more decorative.

The other idea would be some kind of torc or neckring, such as those here: http://www.urweg.com/list/torcs.html

Of course you would have to have it modified to be non-removable, if you are looking for a 'permanent collar' type of thing.

Your situation sounds similar to a customer of mine. I made an aluminum collar with a magnetic closure for them and they were very happy with the results. I'm not sure this is what you want but check out this page:
