Ok, taking a break from mowing and just thought I would share with everyone how very talented I am. I was making dinner last night, had a pan of onions going to caramelize them to go in the swiss steak. I was reaching up into the cabinet over the stove and yelling at my UM to get busy on her homework. Yup, I leaned my belly on the pan and now have a 3 inch at least 2nd degree burn across my stomach. *bows and basks in the applause* So Insty is not the only one with a knack for hurting himself.

I used to date a boy in New Boston...back when dating meant "hanging out in study hall or going to the mall with 15 friends" *S*  he was my first geek crush...I haven't gone back since...I love geeks of all sorts! *S*

I haven't been back to New Boston in years... the only shopping mall I recall is one in Manchester.

My mom went to Boston once to visit some friends...she bought me back a t-shirt from MIT and handed it to me and said "here, this is porbably the closest youll ever get to MIT"

I love my mom

Boston's a pretty cool city. Spent one July 4th (1985) at the Esplanade listening to The Boston Pops concert and watching the fireworks show. Walked the historical trails and wandered about the Old North Church and various homes. Even walked over to where the USS Constitution was being birthed at the time, but the yard was all locked up. Actually, there was quite a lot going on in Boston on that day... all over the city... if you were walking and not riding around in cabs or the trains. I even stopped into the Bull & Finch Pub to see how closely it resembled the set of Cheers... not so much so on that day.

I've been back a couple of times since then, but not since they opened the Big Dig to traffic.

Did any of you notice I'd rather be spending my time elsewhere than where I am right now... doing things other than what I'm supposed to be doing right now? :)

I would watch that.  I would also buy the season DVD set.  It would go well over my LOTR set and between Indiana Jones and Family Guy.

I had the chance to go to Rose-Hulman, Purdue, CalTech or MIT for grad school.

I went to Purdue.

MIT isn't what it's cracked up to be.
