Not at all! Getting worked up over books is one of the great joys in life.

Crimson, I love books. My problem is that I like to actually own them. I don't like to borrow books, because too often I hate to give them back. This is also why I steer clear of the public library. Well, that and the effect being around all those books has on me physically. I would end up arrested for lewd and lascivious behaviour in the stacks. *L*

Dear Miss Manners quotes a wise teacher friend who said that life is full of passions that come and go, but the only one that will never let you down is reading.

Honestly I spend most of my time around kids coming from challenging backgrounds and find that when reading went out of style and the internet came in style people lost out.  It's not uncommon to see a young person that believes ur is actually a word and is totally clueless on many things they could get just from reading even occasionally.

Vampire I am truly sorry for your losses. I lost a book I had hung on to since childhood, and it still bothers me. Silly perhaps, but true.

Oh I know. I am growing concerned that young people are losing their imaginations. Considering what a wonderful playground the imagination is, this is not a good trend.

Lol quick. Like I said this is just to hold me over til I can get my hands on the actual books. plus some of these are actual ebooks anyways and only a handful from the site are ever in actual paperback form. so  its a win win.
