I lost the weight I gained with my daughter not long after she was born. When she was 2 months old, I was back down to 140lbs. But that's just because I breast fed most of those 2 months. And that burnt the calories for me while makin' milk.

And now, with her turning 1 here on the 14th, I'm down to about the 130-135lbs range. And I'm happy with it.

I leave for Navy Basic here in April, so that'll work a lot more weight off me and put muscle on!

Edited to add..

I guess I'm just not as hung up on sizes as most people (guys) are.. if a woman is beautiful and sexy to Me, it doesn't matter.. size 2 or size 22 (and up, of course).

Further edited to spell "edited" correctly..

To me, sexy is an attitude, not a size. I don't care how good looking a man is, if he doesn't have an attitude that moves me, it is hopeless. If he has the attitude however ..... ooohhhh myyyyyy!

Oh and LMAO at Further edited to spell "edited" correctly!!!!

i'm one of the unfortunate few who didn't get the "weight loss" benefit from breastfeeding.  Mine was breastfed the first 4 months then, due to her reflux, i supplemented with formula..only after i stopped breastfeeding did the weight start to really come off of me.

Congrats on getting back to your comfy zone so quickly!

Actually I get a bit annoyed at the insanity about "losing the baby weight," phenomena.  You see and hear about people all wrapped up in wondering when a female is going to do so, and they never even bother  to ask or consider whether the mother or child is HEALTHY, for goodness sake.

No, of course not, because looking good is more important to most than being healthy.. and yeah.. that applies to their child's health as well.

Fortunately the world is full of moms and new moms like youand b who make sure the little screamers come first.  :-)

Well, I think that one of the things that happens, is that women are SO wrapped up in what they eat and how it appears.  You know those women that you are at a restraunt with that either spend fiftenn minutes on whether or not they are going to order cheese fries or not OR they have to give about ten justifications for doing so.  Not that I am against splitting an appitizer or a dessert, but come on!  The only decision skills going into that, should be, "Hmmm, am I hungry for cheese fries?"  Check yes or no.

So, when they DO get pregnant, and are "allowed" to gain weight, they go nutso with eating junk food.  Hence the half-gallons of ice cream every other day, the twenty tacos from taco bell, and so forth.  All of a sudden, they have the perfect justification for eating all of those things that they have spent so much time and energy denying themselves.

So, they gain huge amounts of weight.

Then, once the baby is born, low and behold, they are tired and it is difficult to get exercise in.  So, they become obsesed with "loosing the baby weight."

Now, this all could have been avoided, if they would have just mostly stuck to a healthy diet, and enjoyed the occasional "treat food," without giving it so much emotional impact.

Add to that, it is also a lot more enjoyable to eat out with people who do not have to rationalize to themselves what they are ordering or eating.  And I read a story somewhere that talked about eating food, whatever food, when you are relaxed and happy was far healthier for you.  So, if you are going to eat cheese fries, eat them happily and with good company.

Well, that was a rather long answer.

Long, maybe.....but right on the money.  i remember everyone (and i do mean EVERYONE) in my family telling me i was going to gain at least 40-50lbs while pregnant...i was terrified of gaining that much weight..so i talked to my doc about it...made healthier choices and only gained a total of 11 pounds with her....of course, that came off when i had her, but the "squishy" stayed lol....like i said...i can't blame the babies TOO much for my weight   Although, this one is beginning to tick me off ....i hardly eat at all (nothing is appealing...i only eat because i have to for the most part)...and i'm already at that 11 pound mark with 4 months to go *pout*

As I recall, what I was told, is that the squishy is because there are some chemicals  in your body that cause you to loose some muscle tone in your stomach while you are preggers.  So, I would not worry about that too much.  And as far as the weight gain, each pregnancy is different.  Some you gain lots at the start, some lats at the end, and some have a consistant gain.

Ohhh! I have ice cream in my freezer! Yay ice cream! Except it is a teeny tiny carton, and would take four of these to equal one half gallon .... I think ... anyway .... YAY ICE CREAM!

b - Well, I do what I can.  Besides, in a year you are going to be running after a toddler.  That is going to take ANY extra weight off.  Although, I personally think the trick is to not employ the electraonic babysitter too much.  Strollers are just fantastic for getting exercise.  And it keeps Butterhead entertained.  LOL

I was not implying that ice cream is BAD.  Merely eating it as though they were going to nuke the factory in four minutes is a bad idea.  Much better to just have an occasional serving of ice cream, without guilt or justification.  Other than, "Well, ice cream sounds nummy, I think that I will have a sccop or two."

So, fat people suck and skinny people suck.  Who is left?  Is there some "perfect" weight or size or body?

Here is a solution from my other half:

Let's just use a Procrustean bed.  We will put each person in it, and whatever does not fit, we can just chop off.  Of course, this will kill a lot of people, but then we can just compact them down and process them into Soylent Green.  It will solve the problem of people being different and the problem of over-population at the same time.

It doesn't matter how much one sucks.. it matters how well they suck.  :-D

I'd rather not conform to some pre-determined size, thanks.. I'm sure there'd be at least six inches chopped off my height... and I didin't go through 6 years of Osgood-Schlieter(?) for nothing.

Edited to add an after-though...

So, the people that are "too small" for the bed.. do they have parts added to them?
