Morning all.

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 6:33:45 AM)

Good morning Bear.

And, for laughs, here is a third set of celebrities from MyHeritage.com. The two who could not be presented in this group are: Cuba Gooding Jr (48%) and Chet Baker (47%).

By the way, the two who didn't make the presentation from the first set were: Alfred Rosenberg (48%) and Pedro Almodovar (48%).

I'm done. All this proves is that, as Cuffs said in another thread, the people at MyHeritage must be on crack.

So, that being said: Our Lady of the Sturdy Shoes, what would you recommend to go with this?

Im not sure on shoes yet..but anyone your height really shouldnt be wearing all over patterns like that....

As for the heels, you dont need 3" heels to make it look "right"....a nice kitten heel sandal would look just as nice with the grey one....shoes are a great place to add color to a neutral suit like that also....

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 6:37:28 AM)

riiight...

good morning Sappa and Bear! smooches and hugs all around. extra hug for Bear

GhitaAmati -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 6:44:20 AM)

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The hotel I made reservations with last week....the one where I called the lad directly to specifically ask if they were going to put a hold on my account or charge for the room ahead of time and she specifically said NO....charged my card $382 and caused 4 NSF fees to also be deducted from my account! Dammit cause I barely ever use my account, I told the lady I just wanted to use the card to hold the room and was going to pay cash when we got there and she said that was fine!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK DOUBLE FUCK!

beargonewild -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 6:45:58 AM)

Sorry to hear that Ghita. Guess some heads are going to roll eh!

Actually, that's for Rudy - there's no way I could fit into anything as small as a size 12...

The shoes are rarely visible on stage, so that's not really the point. The height of the heels force the legs to assume the proper shape, which is the point. I can't dance in heels over 3", so I don't wear them.

That's a bit nuts - that I know that rule...

Anyway, this is simply for a) practice and ed-u-ma-kay-shun and b) reference in case S+A do decide to do a "CiFwR - One last time" road trip/tour before I fall into a black hole near Gurnee... [;)]

BossyShoeBitch -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 6:49:21 AM)

Good Morning Arghinians (Argonauts?  Arghganites?  I seriously have a problem remembering the name we voted on..)

Ghita,  Did you go to the bank and dispute the charge?  If you go to a male customer service rep and explain what happened there is more of a chance of them reversing the NSF charges for you..  Also helps if you blow him under the desk...

Cuff,  I agree with Insty.. That gets my vote for most random post of the morning..LOL

OK.. I have been told by several people now that I look like Cheryl Hines.  This is not necessarily a compliment for me..

G'morning Arghinians ...the day here started off sunny and cold and right now there's a really cool *cloud* (no, not fog, watched this cloud lower!) sitting about 30 feet above the ball field across the street....wicked cool.

i, am freezing....of course the big heater already left and the little heater is too busy talking to a stuffed caterpillar to worry about keepin' me warm....

i love the fall [:D]

did you take a picture?  that sounds so cool!   I truly envy you!!!

Ahhhh....see....didnt realize this was for "on stage"...nor for dancing....but if you ever plan on wearing it to the park...Id still go with the lower heels...dancing...make sure there is decent straps accross the top of the foot or even better at the ankle. Best bet is finding heels where the entire heel and sole of the shoe is made from one continuous piece of material...much lass likely to break a heel that way. Try the sites that design shoes specifically for strippers (yes they sell lower heels also!) they are designed to be a bit rougher on without worrying about them falling off....and with dancing, running, and strenous excercise in heels...a 1/2 size too small is WAY better than a 1/2 size too big.

earthycouple -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 7:09:09 AM)

and as we all can see the pic is approved! there I am....

Good morning everyone.

it is what happens to the leg that makes heels worth it.

Sorry to hear about the NSF Ghita...I'd be complaining for sure.

Sappatoti....bah....I don't know who you look like but it wasn't any of those guys for sure.

smooches all around

beargonewild -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 7:10:10 AM)

No...*pout* was trying to find the camera and by the time i did, i looked out the bedroom window and the sun had burnt it off...but it happens often enough, i'm sure i'll get another chance to get a picture, eventually [:D]

LMAO!

Actually I just found out about it this morning...I called the hotel lady, and according to her, since I didnt make my reservations DIRECTLY with her, I made them through this other company, I have to call the other company...which makes sense...cept I didnt make the reservation, my Sir did...after I got off the phone with the hotel directly..so I asked him why he used the other company, and he said cause it saved us over $100...which I understand, but apprently its this other companies policy to charge in advance...which Im still pissed about because I just hunted through all the fine print on their website, and through the fine print on the confirmation  sheet Sir printied out...and no where does it say its going to charge in advance for the room......so I tried calling the companies 800 number to talk to someone directly, and apparently where ever the hell the company is located...they arent awake yet.....so still FUCK.....

Anyway, if I cant get the company to fix the issue, Im going to go to the bank....I hate dealing with banks and accounts...which is why we almost ALWAYS deal in cash for EVERYTHING! But over the past two weeks we've done alot of travelling so what NSF'd is a couple payments for gas on the road, and the reservations for our campsite last weekend....

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 7:17:09 AM)

good morning Donna. i'm just bemused by the entire shoe conversation. and learning a lot about shoes too. [:D]

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 7:45:00 AM)

Good morning Donna,

I'm a bit amused at the thought of Kate Winslet being a look-a-like.

e01n -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 7:58:48 AM)

High Heels: the heel forces the foot up, which creates a curve on the back of the calf and alters the weight balance of the hips and thus alters posture. If you have good posture anyway, it helps "pop the puppies" as my boss puts it... I would have thought that all the women here knew this ... as well as the guys... Hrm...

Kate Winslet: again, bones and her angle in the photo. Doesn't hurt that she's a bit mannish in her angles, either.

Cold: we're starting to cool off here in TH and it's really nice. Makes me want to play hooky...

Donna's new picture: I like the full size version living on my HD... as well as the other ones in that set. I feel all fluffy that way...

Hotel charges: actually, that's what most do when making a reservation these days. The desk clerk shouldn't have told you otherwise. I'd work my way up the food chain to have it addressed by management as a customer service complaint. Won't fix the NSFs that way, but will create a refund that should be backdated... Which can be shown to the bank and they *might* help correct the NSF charges... It's all in the order of how it gets addressed.

Shoes: thanks for the tips!

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/13/2007 8:10:03 AM)

well, e01n, i was vy sheltered as a teen, married at 19, and somehow in all the 20 yrs of my marriage, never seemed to come across these tips. perhaps i'm slow. perhaps just one of many reasons its a defunt marriage. after all my replacement is 10 yrs younger, and as slutty as they come. (and truly that's not me being solely bitchy)
