It wasn't bad. Well, for those stuck in traffic or elevators, it probably wasn't fun, but overall, it went off mostly as a minor annoyance. The weather was good, it happened in the early afternoon, and it was contained and dealt with in a relatively quick manner. I think the cable news channels didn't report the facts correctly though. They hyped up the fact that a nuke plant was involved, which put more than a few people on edge (thinking Three Mile Island or Chernobyl).
