oh man, when i get migraines i have to curl up in a dark room, no light, no noise, nothing.  UGH, horrid to deal with them.  Not to mention how queasy i get.

lmao  ohhhh do i know what ya mean nursy!   Wish there were better ways to deal with migraines, most of the meds i take knock me out, but don't really end the pain.

lol, honey i can handle...cough syrup, i try to stay away from *nod*   and, while i really can't stand licorice of any kind, i do have to admit that a few shots of sambuca (freezer chilled only) is doable...i'm so fucking contradictory...*sigh* i need more sleep....

oh yes, you ARE doable!!!   errrrrrrr you meant sambuca?       lol    i'm in a mood today, just ignore my oddness.   Too much caffeine running through my system and serious lack of sex is making me loopier than usual.

Ladies...I also have ways of helping with migraines.  As a matter of fact, I have one of my migraine sufferers coming in this afternoon before it really hits her (best time to take care of them).

Sshh! I could probably use a good bone-cracking, but please... not on one of my rare pain-free days.

I implore you not to suggest it any more. Please?

Oh, what the hell. If it means that one or more of you ladies are spared, then I'll sacrifice my pain-free day for ya all.

:-)

Hey, I was introduced to chiropractic care by an old German man in Australia. It hurt like hell after a really bad riding accident but it helped liked you wouldn't believe. Well, you would, CD, but it was scary at the time.

the sound of bones popping into place is like nails on a chalkboard to anyone else.  i fractured 3 vertebrae in my back long long ago (after a bad riding accident as well lol)  and to avoid surgery went to a Chiro,  i put up with it for as long as i could, then ran far far away.  LOL  Would rather deal with the pain than hear and feel those sounds  ~icky shudder~

My question...  Am I the only one who can scream during a headache?  My completely insensitive EXhusband, who has had maybe 3(what I call minor) headaches in his life would argue with me when I had a headache.  I would try to explain that it hurt and to please just keep his voice down and discuss it later.  Finally I would scream at him to SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME THE **** ALONE BEFORE I COMPLETELY LOST MY F'ING MIND AND HURT HIM.  He would then grin and say, how can you scream if you have a migrane.  I swear it was as if he was trying to prove I was faking or something.  I tried to explain that it wasn't half as bad as listening to him and if it made him shut up it was worth it.  Like I said, EX husband.  So, anyways, am I insane?  Am I the only person who can scream during it?

If needed, I can raise the volume and intensity of my voice while having a migraine. Does it hurt? Absolutely. But, like you Minxy, constant jibber-jabber for a much longer period of time hurts too. I'd rather suffer short bursts of self-inflicted pain if it squelches the uncontrolled pain brought about by others over the long haul.

Hmm... self-inflicted pain in dealing with migraines. Does that make me a masochist?

;-)

Was quite wondering the same about myself as I was typing it all!

So glad to hear that I am not crazy and that my EX is just an ass.  Well, I guess I knew that already, hense, the ex part lol.

Well, I think the mind has great power, in talking about it, my head has begun to hurt terribly and I feel the stifness at the base of my skull...time for a nap.  Or excuse for a nap. Who knows.  Not much time before the school bell rings and I have rugrats to entertain.  Better get on it!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and that the migranes keep themselves at bay.

~Kisses
