actually, bsb, it's more that i've never played, and i'd just be so freaking nervous, though i'd try to hide it. i never got the impression michael was "serious" as such, just that he thought pretty deeply about things. he does have that big intimidating factor, though, which i find seriously sexy (same as red's daddy)

for my first party, i think it would be so much easier to attend with a couple. there would be that protection factor like what red did, but also the opportunity to watch them play together. and there would be no implied pressure to play with someone i didn't necessarily know.

there's a guy over here who's offered to take me to a local munch, but i get a subtle impression that there's strings attached. and that makes me vy uncomfortable.

you are 100% right... Not that I have been doing this for that long, but I would never play with someone I met at a party (as a single person)..
Here at home, I really only go to parties with my friend, AsianShoeDiva..  Sometimes we will take subs, sometimes go just the two of us.  Before ASD and I became friends, I went with a (male) sub friend of mine for protection..
Do you have any male sub friends you could go to the munch or a party with?

Funny thing is, now I hate to go to vanilla bars or clubs.  I get very disappointed knowing there is no potential to see someone getting spanked over a table or having sex in a corner. (Did I mention I was a voyeur?)

Same here.  One of my friend's hubby asked Daddy and I if we wanted to go to a titty bar, the 4 of us.  I just said, "No.  The last time we went, He fell asleep at the table and I wasn't seeing any girl on girl, so there was no reason to stay."  He shut his mouth after his wife pushed his chin up.  LOL.  She knew about us, but he didn't.  To make things even more uncomfy for him, I added, "Now, if you'd like to go back to your house, I'd be more than happy to tie your ass up and beat you till you're screaming like a little girl."  Daddy almost choked on His drink, and smacked my leg under the table.  My friend just laughed and I sat there with a smile that said "well?"...  while the hubby just looked like a deer in headlights at me.
