Evening everyone! Ghita's home wooo hooo! Wow, you sure know how to tell a story Ghita. Glad you've embarked on the land of squirting. I have a good link on it I will go find and post. BSB - was surprised you were posting till you got tickled at saying the word "hard". With your favorite hard item so close to hand I still doubt we will hear much from you this week! Glad you made it to Cali - have fun. D - good luck on the rings. I had rings left to me by Gran, sized and prongs tightened etc. One ring has a really valuable stone it turns out and the 2 jewelers who I took it too for estimates both said that they would only work on the rings with me at their elbow for security reasons. And that is exactly how the work was done. Interesting huh? They took me back to the work bench gave me a stool to sit on right next to them so that I could keep an eye on my stones at all times - which I did btw. I would not have known to ask for that sort of security but as 2 different places suggested it I guess it is not an uncommon practice. Both jewelers said that it is very common for stones to be switched and that it can be done in the wink of an eye. They were very concerned about my one ring because of the special stone - although I would love to wear it day in and out - everyone from insurance on down say it is too valuable...I hate that, as the only reason I love the ring is because it had so much meaning to my Gran and she wanted me to have it. Gran was a true Southern Bell who made Scarlet O'Hara look weak and stupid by comparison. Gran got her rings through pure feminine wiles and manipulation and they were her prized possessions. She wanted me to have them because I took care of her in her last 5 years and because she said I clearly was not going to demand gems from my fellas - lol. She is so right too - I demand other things. lol. [:D]
